Alright, I suppose I can clue ya in...

When I got my cast off, I was feeling kinda depressed that the scale didn't show any change - I know the thing weighed at least 6 pounds which meant I had gained 6 pounds while I had it on. Wilson, suggested we have a "Castaway" party and also told me that she would be there for me. The next day I was feeling down and wanted to just binge on sweets, but I heard a little voice in my head saying that I should be celebrating my "Castaway" and to stick to the program. That made me think of the movie "Castaway" and she became my "Wilson" like the volleyball was to Tom Hanks. A little voice in my head keeping my spirits up when I was feeling defeated.

Another cold and wet day in Central Ohio today. Just makes me that much more excited about going to San Antonio on Monday. I am back on plan and probably in ketosis since I am not feeling the hunger or headaches anymore. Water intake is OK, but could be better, Diet Coke intake is down, but not where it should be, peanut butter craving isn't the lion that it was, but is far from the lamb I would hope for.

Physical therapy on my ankle is progressing slower than I would like, but I am not going to rush things. A week from Friday will mark the year anniversary of my first surgery and I am really ready to be back to normal - if that is even possible, but rushing the issue will only cause more problems than it will solve.

I am able to get out to the barn now, but I don't do any "work" out there. I am just pleased that I can spend time brushing and loving on the horses. My workouts are going well and I am now to the point that I don't ache the next day which I am very happy about. I am adding more reps to the routine, but not going overboard.

A few others and I have decided to plan The First Annual Alicia Dupler Memorial Horse Show, with all the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research. There will be much work involved with that, but it will be well spent and a pleasure. In addition to that, I am still working on getting sponsors for my Relay for Life Walk and preparing her clothing to make the quilts for her boys.

The busier I am the less I think about "munching" and the easier it is for me to stay on plan. Be ready Steph - there won't be any sitting around while I am there! I am gonna teach you to sew, we are going to Sea World, the Alamo, the River Walk and anything else I can find to do.

Thank you for stopping by AQ. I appreciate your words of kindness. Knowing that I am helping someone keeps me going when I would really rather just hang my head and sulk. You are doing a great job! Keep it up! I hope to see you in the 10# club VERY soon!

So far so good for me on plan, but I better get a supplement soon, or I will be late. Water intake is OK, but needs to be higher, good thing I still have hours in the day for that.

The ankle is really sore today which means I am using my crutches again. I am OK with that, I just hope I won't need them next week in San Antonio.

Have some things to do in town, then will be back home to get some sewing finished up. I picked out some really nice fabric to make a couple of dresses for next week with. If I don't get them done soon, they won't get done in time.

On another note -- * Be aware this is a mama's brag post * My daughter got an interesting letter yesterday. She had worked very hard on an application for an award through FFA. The application involved letters of reference, a resume, an essay and a very difficult inventory of her horse "business" (she is a trainer). Well, we found out that her application was disqualified because she included stuff in her inventory that happened during her freshman year even though she was not in FFA that year. The letter she got yesterday was from one of the judges for the contest. He explained that her application was "by far the best of the group" and that they fought to get the decision to disqualify her application overturned, but were not successful in doing so.
In addition, he also said that "all of the judges would have picked her's to win the $500".

Needless to say we were all suprised that someone would take the time to write such a nice letter under the circumstances. Regardless of whether or not she got that money, I am proud of her for the accomplishment and very greatful that the judge was willing to take the time to write her that letter and encourage her to enter again next year.

*End of parental bragging*

I hope everyone has a great On Plan Thursday!

Well, after a great sunny day we in Central Ohio are now getting ready to batton down the hatches. Looks like we have 2-4 inches of snow coming in tonight and another 2-4 inches for tomorrow night also. Needless to say, Monday and San Antonio can't happen soon enough!

MAN are we getting socked in here in Central Ohio!!! We already have about 8 inches of snow on the ground and we still have two more storms on the way! Good thing I picked Monday instead of the weekend to leave for Texas or I would be stuck at the airport for certain! Deanna's school district was already on a two hour delay and many were already sending them home early so I didn't even bother sending her to school at all. (I am such a cool mom).

I got some sewing done and more to do tomorrow. There is so much snow on the ground, I am not even taking a chance of breaking my neck or making my ankle worse by going outside. Me thinks it will be a good idea to just stay put until it all quiets down.

I'll trade you the rain in NJ for the snow by your house. All it does is rain here. I haven't seen a good snowfall in years.

No thanks! I kinda like the snow and will take it over rain ANYDAY!!! We now have about 16 inches on the ground and it is still snowing a little bit. It isn't supposed to stop until later tonight.

I have gotten one quilt finished and more done on another. Church has been canceled for tomorrow due to the weather so one more day stuck in the house. I am not upset though, as long as I am able to fly out of here on Monday!! :woohoo: less than 48 hours from now I will be in San Antonio!

I am soooo jealous! I have never been in falling snow! I imagine it would be wonderful if I didn't have anywhere to go. I imagine waking up and seeing snow on your window sill would be magical :D I love sitting by the fire and getting cozy.....ah....I am so jealous!

Anyway, I stopped by to say ALOHA and MAHALO (thanks) for your warm welcome back! I really appreciated it.

I am glad to see you are doing great. I love your new avatar!

I hope you have a safe journey.

The falling snow is very magical. I love to wake up to it but I prefer it when I can stay at home too.

So, I am here in San Antonio, and luvin it! Not sure what happened to Mary - she never got back with me. The flight from Dallas-Ft Worth was awful. So bad I almost got sick and I don't EVER get sick. Never so glad to get off a plane!

Skye and I will get some photos this week and I will load them when I get home.
