Weight loss is weight loss.. I get what you are saying about being on plan, but so long as you didn't starve it off, then just be proud of hitting 80#'s, regardless how you got there. :)

Please forgive my lateness in sending you my congratulations on reaching the 80# club. What a great achievement and I'm so eager for you to get your cast off so that you'll be able to get back to enjoying time in the barn (more easily) and also can see the next 6-8# drop off the scale. Keep smiling and keep going.......you are doing so well!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and for the kudos! I am feeling pretty good about things right now. Getting exercise is helping, even though I am not able to get in a good cardio yet. We have been snowed in for 2 days, so I have been forced to get some sewing done that I have put off for various lame reasons. Isn't it always nice to accomplish goals. Just getting those dresses off my sewing table made me feel great. How much more exciting will it be when I reach my goal???

Right now I am just trying to be positive. There is so much going on right now in this community that is negative and it seems that everyone wants to have the last word so it just keeps circulating over and over. I have seen many posts that I want to put my two cents in on, but I realize that I would be doing exactly what I want to stop. I have decided if I don't like the theme of a particular thread, I am going to ignore it. Adding to it only bumps it to the top and keeps it circulating. Ok - enough of the philosophical stuff.

My daughter and I are preparing for our road trip to PA and I am looking forward to the time away from the tensions of the house. If there is anyone near the Seven Spings, PA area that would like to get together for coffee or a L&G, let me know. The kids will be snowboarding and I will have to find something to occupy myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Congrats on your wonderful results! 80 lbs...very impressive!

I was snowed in for several days, wasn't too bad the first day then it got very old very fast! Did a little knitting and worked on a jewelry piece that I need to have done soon for a competition. All I can say is that I am looking forward to sunny Mexico!

Your upbeat and positive attitude is appreciated more than you may know. :D

Take care! :)

Thanks Mickey - apparently you are right about that because I was beginning to wonder if I was really making any kind of impact here. Your words of kindness are precious to my heart.

Thank you very much for choosing to join me in my little celebration - no problem that you came late - the key is that you came. Glad to have you.

I also appreciate your kindness about me and my role here. Today, I chose to step away from the board for a little while since I was feeling a little "questionable" about the stuff that is going on. Try as I might, I just couldn't seem to find a place to really make a positive change. Then DUH! I thought why not start at home (my journal). Isn't that where all good things are supposed to start? Right here at home...

Ok - enough Ms Nice Gal - I am glad you came to the party and thank you for the kind words - BUT I AM STILL NOT GONNA LET YOU WIN!! :-P

Thank you Mare! As I said ^ I have had a difficult time with the insults and hateful remarks. Worse thing is, I just can't seem to find where it all started. Well, we can't save the world, but we can save this little star fish (PM me if you need the story to go along with that moral).

Now, my own personal message to me. Now is a time in your life when you have to take care of yourself. With the stress of healing from surgery, issues at home, financial concerns, a dying friend and many others too numorous to account for, your emotions are very raw. You know that allowing other people to affect you is not good for your wellbeing. In order to keep from falling into the spin cycle of emotional overload it is important to take care of YOU!! "Choose you this day, whom you will serve..." Will it be the author of love and peace or the author of hatred? When you see, hear, read or otherwise become aware of negativity that you KNOW will bring you down - RUN FROM IT
LIKE HE[[! Do not put yourself into a position where you feel put down, out or beaten.

This message, though it may appear to, does not in any way reflect the author's feelings toward any single person on this board. The writer hereby holds harmless any individual from any claim of wrong-doing. No animals were harmed in the making of this post. We do not approve of animal testing. AND any other disclaimer I might have missed.
