And everyone got a kick out of the exercise contest that a few of them were having. We have money riding on this one!!

So far, I am on plan for the day. Next meal is a L&G, probably a salad with some canned chicken - something easy due to my little accident last night I don't want to be standing for long. Called the doctor and he wants to see me tomorrow instead of waiting until Thursday - he is afraid I may have done some damage. Man - I hope not.

Well, not bad news - but not good news either. The line in the bone where he cut my heal and shifted it over is still visible in the x-ray so they put another cast on and told me to come back in 3 more weeks. I am pretty bummed over the whole thing and feeling kinda sorry for myself right now, but I will get over it. I am just sick and tired of lugging around this cast and trying to get around with the leg caddy thing. Oh well, I can't do anything about it.

On the bright side, I am very excited about our new 100 day challenge and our own MMT biggest loser contest that we started. It was Katesmom's idea, but I jumped on board and too charge of the contest part of it. Now I feel like I at least have some kind of purpose for myself. Recently, I have been feeling pretty useless/worthless since I can't do anything productive these days. I really needed this.

Day 2 100% compliant to the plan, but still struggling to get the required amount of water.

Hi Mom,

Sorry to hear about the setback, but that's going to be one strong leg after lugging that cast around this long...:)

Just thought I'd mention. I've been using the new flavor infusers and really like them on ice. This might be a way to help you with your water.

Thanks for jumping into the contest.
All the best,
Unca

I'm glad that it wasn't something more serious! Try to look on the bright side.. you will see some 5lbs difference when you weigh after the cast is removed. ;)

Thanks again for running the contest, it makes it that much more fun when it is organized and a bit of friendly competition as well.

Thanks Unca_Tim, I might have to try those infusers. Do they count as water or will it be like Crystal Light? I am experimenting with the CL trying to use only half an On the Go package in more water and stuff. I am also going to get some more flavored sparkling water since I realized that I really crave the fizz in my Diet Coke more than anything else.

Kelly - I was honored that you asked me to be the one to start up the PayPal account. This challenge has put a spark back into MF for me and the friendly competition will make the next 100 days even more fun.

I have discovered that my descent into the dulldrums lately has been influenced greatly by my lack of self-worth. I am incapacitated and unable to do much of what I used to do around the house, add to that the fact that I haven't worked outside the house since March 13... I was feeling a little worthless. There is not much in this world worse than feeling like you are just taking up space and that was what I was feeling. Now that I have joined the 100 day challenge and kinda taken over running the little friendly contest we have going, I feel like I have purpose. I know how lame that might sound to many of you, but I was feeling pretty down.

I woke up this morning determined to find something to lift my depression over another 3 weeks in this blasted cast. All of the crap and self pity had caused me to forget to count my blessings and there are many.

1. My daughter
2. My parents (most of the time)
3. My talent for sewing
4. A roof over my head
5. My email buddy Steph
6. My good health (even the slow healing of my ankle)
7. Friends on MMT
8. Extra time to read what ever I want
9. A warm fire in the fireplace
10. Extra time for prayer and conversation with God

Ok - so tonight will be a test of my determination to stay OP with the 100 day challenge. This will be the first time going out to eat while determined to remain 100% compliant. We are going to a buffet with a nice salad bar and I am taking my own dressing so I think I will be OK.

3 Medimeals and 30 ounces of water down...

Dinner is over. We ended up going to a pizza joint - how fair was that? Anyway, I had a turkey chef salad, with my Newman's Own light Balsalmic Vinagaret dressing while everyone else shared a large pepperoni pizza. I think I have my 64 ounces of water in, but I am gonna drink another large glass full just in case. I guess I am lucky that I don't have to drink it to feel full, but unlucky because I don't have to drink it to feel full. Are you getting the idea that I just don't like water?

I am glad that my determination is coming through because I really am determined! All my life I have been the big girl, the fat lady, the tub o lard, the one that doesn't fit into the cute clothes, the one that was too heavy for certain chairs etc. I am so sick of all that and I am on a mission to change it all for the better.

So, I was 100% compliant with the program AND I did 50 crunches and 50 step push-ups twice today. It isn't much, but it is more than I was doing before. I also got some cardio playing with our 4 dogs by chasing them as I crawled around on the floor - what a sight that must have been.

Thanks for the support everyone - I would not have gotten through the last few weeks without knowing I had people here caring and praying for me.

Sometimes I try to find something to visualize how much I have actually lost. You know like 4 sticks of butter = 1 pound... When I reached 50 pounds I realized that I had lost the weight of a bag of horse food (WOW). At 80 pounds I have now lost the weight of our black lab (Holy COW!) I know I have a LONG way to go, but using those tangible objects makes it real for me, esp when I am having a hard time seeing it in the mirror.

I have to chime in here and say that I DO think you're doing awesome. I can see it so much in the pics you posted.

And I think that your determination is contagious. I wanna play in your challenge. You'll have to help me get set up. Nothing like a little competition between friends right.
