ahem, excuse me...did you happen to mention somewhere about hitting 100#'s? I was just reading your post over in that challenge thread and I just happened to notice that you have dropped OVER 100#. Um, lady, I see a reason to be happy! I can't believe I just caught it.

If you mentioned it somewhere else I'm sorry I missed it but I still wanted to congratulate you! you shoulda shown me how to get all those cool graphics when you were down here. I don't know how to put up any pretties to brighten your day. Don't know if this will make you feel better or worse but T keeps asking BWEN? sleeping? nigh-night?? BWEN? She's still waiting for ya!

Awww- thanks T! Tell her I miss her too.

Oh, and I guess I did hit the 100 pound club. Whoda thunk it?

See - I just can't seem to get excited these days. Unless, of course it is over Deanna and her prom date.

Thanks for noticing!

Speaking of prom, I think I will be a braggy mom for a minute. My daughter decided to dump the joker/loser that she was dateing for 11 months and venture out into better waters. The guy is the son of my friend, Alicia, that died in Feb after an 8 year battle with breast cancer. I think they make such a cute couple.

Thank you cydj21, for your sweet comments. I certainly haven't felt much like an inspiration lately, it is nice to know that someone sees my story as inspiring none-the-less.

Mike - as always, you are very kind to notice! Thank you for the kudos.

The struggles of depression are still pretty gripping, but I am at least in a state of mind to fight again. I had almost given up a couple of weeks ago. Seeing that prom picture and reaching my 100 pound mark have lifted my spirits and given me hope.

I can say that I am sick of lean and greens and I am getting a little worn out on Medifast stuff. My family doesn't understand why, because they only spent 4 or 5 months on the program to reach goal. I have been on and off since September and really haven't gone a single day without at least "trying" to be on plan with a shake or lean and green. I am considering a full out break for a week or two. No guilt, no struggles, no worries about what I am eating. Maybe if I give myself that freedom I will be able to get my head back in the game.

I know many folks will want to throw those dreaded tomatoes at me - throw away, I just don't have the ambition to fight it.

Hi. :D

I am a total 100% on plan Medifaster and I always try to encourage people to stay on plan as much as possible, because for me I find it makes the program easier. With that said, do not worry about tomatoes. Only you know you and if after consideration you think that could help, go for it and follow your instincts. I know precisely what guilt you are speaking of and the way I see it - MF quickly becomes a waste of money if I'm not on plan 100%. All of that said, if continued weight loss is a priority for you build in some control to your week(s) off. Don't use it as an excuse to eat anything/everything in mass quantities and set a restart date before so you have a specific time when you know it's time to get back on with the program. Finally, make sure you don't turn to food to feed your depression. You appear to be taking all of the right steps to take care of yourself so I certainly won't profess to you what you can and cannot do, but just make sure you're conscious of the food decisions you're making.

So, those are my thoughts. Perhaps I will also be target of some tomato tossing? If so, that's fine. I think you need to take care of you and if you truly believe some down time might give you the fresh fuel you need to tackle your goal, that is for you to decide and no one else. In the meantime, whatever you decide, stick with us here even if you do opt for the time off and we'll be here to support you 100% all the way.

Best of luck. We're here with you.

Hey lady! You know I won't even post my opinion here. You already know what I think. When it comes right down to it, it's your decision to make. You know I love you no matter what you choose.

ah, who cares about tomatoes? Ultimately, it's your life and your decision. But since we never wanna waste a good veggie, when life (or MFers) throw tomatoes, cut some up and put them in your salad! (but just a few, they are not completely OP are they? or maybe they are...) Either way, do what you gotta do. You are going to beat this bout of depression and blow full steam ahead with the things that make you happy, so focus on them for now!

BTW, Deanna looks BEAUTIFUL (and happy) with her new beau. They make the cutest couple. I never realized (until now) how much she looks like you. Then again, i don't think i have seen a pic showing her face dead on. She has the prettiest smile.

OOPS! Almost forgot...CONGRATS on making it to the 100# club! :woohoo: I guess i would have been shouting it from the rooftop if I were you!

Congratulations on the 100# club!!!

Your daughter and her date look great.

Your decision to make about taking a vacation from MF. The only thing I remember is you writing here or in someone else's journal how very difficult sticking to program is after you had to stop for your surgery. I don't wish more struggles onto your shoulders, so follow your heart and if you choose to take time away then be happy with that decision. If you choose to continue to use MF during a portion of your day---that is wonderful, too. My wish is for you to be content with your choice and it really shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.
