Thanks for stopping by, T and Pam! Today has been a recoup day for me. The traveling took more out of me than I thought it would. I forgot to mention a HUGE NSV from the day though...I actually FIT in the seat in the plane AND I was comfortable!! The seat belt was even loose! I was so excited.

On another note... I have been showing a gain on the scales lately. Right now, I am not going to do anything about it on my ticker right now because I am 99.9% sure that it is muscle mass from my workouts. I say that because my measurements are still shrinking and I am fitting into smaller clothing. I am hoping that the fat loss will "catch up" with the muscle gain and even out soon. We will see what the scale says when I get home.

Traveling had me a little off plan yesterday but I am back on track today.

Ta ta for now - y'all!

I am luvin the weather here in Texas and not really missing the rain they are getting at home. I just know the farm is going to be one muddy mess. I don't want t tattle on anyone, but someone and I were not exactly on plan today. When I lived in Arizona we used to go to a place called Panchos (an all you can eat Mexican buffet) - well they have one right down the street from their house. I hadn't been in over 20 years and she hadn't ever been soooooo, well - you can figure it out. The food was great, and the company even better, but I feel miserable (physically) right now. Needless to say, I ate WAY too much and I feel like an overstuffed couch right now. Oh well, lesson learned.

Other than that all is well here in south Texas. We are going to the Alamo tomorrow - so I suspect we will get some pictures then.

I'll have to admit that I was a little disappointed in the Alamo. There were about 4 different schools there for field trips and some of them were very VERY disrespectful even in what they call the "shrine". I just got really frustrated over not only the kids, but the adults with them not respecting the fact that people died (and some are even buried) there.

Today, we went to the Whitte museum where they have one of those human body exhibits (real people who have been preserved). VERY interesting!!! I think we are heading to the coast tomorrow - Corpus Cristy maybe. They haven't been there so it will be new for all of us.

As for weather - they are looking for record highs here today - 90 degrees or more. I am loving the warmth and I will try to bring it north with me on Monday. I am afraid the first flight is going to be bumpy again since they are expecting thunder storms again.

Having a great time - wish you were here.

Hey All - thanks for checkin in on me. All is well and I am getting back into the swing of things at home. I am sure everyone knows how hard it is to get back from a wonderful vacation and have to get used to being at home again. Skye was a WONDERFUL hostess and I had a blast. Don't let her fool ya about those kids of her's - they are a great bunch and I really enjoyed getting to know all of them. I even got to bring home a sunburn from Corpus Christy. I have lots of pics and can't wait to get them loaded into Photo Bucket so I can share.

Skye was strong and stayed on plan while I went totally crazy and blew it completely. Not to worry though, cuz now that I am home, I am back on and doing well.

I will update some more later.

Aloha!

I am glad your vacation went well!

It's tough to be strong on vacation because your schedule is all messed up. I am a little worried about revisiting Steph in FL this August. Her husband cooks amazing Morroccan food that I can get no where else so.....there will be moments of weakness....but just moments!

Have a great day!

Aloha!

Wanna laugh? I was getting a shake out of the mf cupboard and T says gum, gum. I said, NO, shake, and she started shaking. I couldn't stop laughing! I'm glad you had a good time!

I can see her shakin that booty! How funny!

Today is day three back on plan for me since being home from Texas. I am feeling alright and dealing with cravings to eat more than any hunger. I have downed 3 COUNT THEM THREE 1.5 liter bottles of water today. Not sure how I did it, considering I HATE water, but I did. I am starting to feel more like I did when I first started in September. By that, I mean motivated, dedicated and determined. I have no idea what my issues have been the last couple of months, but there were issues that kept me from being compliant. I am embarassed  by the amount of ice cream I put away while in Texas.  But what is done is done.

I am also back on track with physical therapy and was actually able to walk 2 miles an hour for 10 minutes on the tread mill this morning. I know that must sound like a really sad accomplishment to most, but considering I am still in recovery from the ankle surgery in December, I was pretty happy with that. I am now out of the walking boot that I had to wear to the beach in Corpus and in a fairly complicated ankle brace which is much lighter.

Look for photos tomorrow! :D
