Ok, I couldn't take it anymore, after spending a hour unwrapping clearanced candy canes for the horses, I just had to go out to the barn. Alicia and I shared a love for horses and we often discussed their healing capabilities. I was really feeling down and just had to do it. What a refreshing time I spent out there. I was careful and just went out to the little barn and the small paddock where the horses could come to the fence. All I had to do was mention that I had peppermints and had all of them fighting for my attention.
Roxy, our most loving mare, just put her head over the fence and on my shoulder as if she knew I needed a friend. She is the one that may or may not be pregnant. Cash, our yearling that I am hoping to show this summer was there too, just pushing and shoving for attention. Of course Scout made sure he got his share of the candy too. They all did.
I feel more at peace now, than I have in a very long time.
Please allow me to brag a minute.....
This is Roxy, she is a Thoroughbred Barrel Racing Mare - maybe soon to be a mommy.
This is Scout, he is an Appaloosa (minus the spots) Barrel Racing Gelding. Deanna trained him from a weanling to the massive "man" he is now at 4 yrs.
And this is "Baby" Cash, our Quarter Horse yearling that I hope to show this summer.
To see more photos of our horses or videos of Deanna racing you can visit my Photo Bucket site... I also have all my before and during photos of my MF and TSFL journey on there.
