Nobody has ever told me I had a small waist. Erica, you are now my best buddy! Believe it or not, according to the scale I have only lost about 15 pounds since my last "photo shoot". It is only showing 5 since before the surgery - but I am sure my cast has to weigh about 5 pounds don't you agree  .

Thanks Erica. I feel pretty good now.

Brenda,
You look GREAT! You should be very proud of yourself.

I want you to know that I feel for you ... you seem to have a lot on your plate right now but you also seem to be handling it with grace! You are in my thoughts and prayers. :rose:

Hey Brenda,

You look Fabulous. You have earned that tiny waist. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures. Pictures really help me when I feel like cheating. And to see what you have accomplished, and how skinny you are getting, it puts me back on track.

Brenda, there is a big difference even if it isn't showing up on the scale. You are going to have a wonderful figure at goal, with that little waist and slender ribcage. I like your hairstyle, too. Keep going girl! You are looking so good!

Jeeze guys, I am blushing. I have always told people that I have an hourglass figure - just 4 times bigger than what it should have been. Those shorts are 18's. I didn't photo below the knees because of the cast and the atrophy in the right leg - it kinda looks yucky right now. This has actually been the first time I have been able to really see a difference when I look at myself. For me that is a real milestone - we are our own toughest critics after all. As I was putting on that make-up (a first in over 4 years) I noticed my face it slimmer. That shirt really makes the girls stand out too doesn't it? I had been worried at losing them - now... not so much.

Thank you so much! I do have some good news. My friend, Alicia, who is fighting cancer is now home from the hospital after having 2 units of fluid drained from her lungs and having drains put in her right lung. She still has a LONG way to go, but she is at least a little better.

Your continued prayers are appreciated!

Thanks holberry! She has been fighting for 7 years. It is bad - really bad. BUT God is good and He can do amazing things.

Thanks for the comment on my hair too (YOU TOO TAWANDA). I just had it cut again and I wasn't sure about it, but since you both mentioned it, I am feeling better about it.

Thanks again!!!!

Thanks SO much for the inspring and just wowweeee pictures! I mean c'mon, just starting to see a difference? The difference is...WOW! I can't believe how awesome you look! Even if the scale isn't moving...your bod is showing off your hard work and remarkable progress! I can't get over it! What an inspiration to me! I mean LOOK at what you have done when you put your mind to it!

I'm also SO glad your friend is home!

As for the other things...one hour, one day, one problem at a time. Sometimes just talking about it helps and we're certainly here for that! You have a lot to deal with, but you I see you handling everything thrown at you with style and grace!

You look fantastic! Younger too, I'm not sure if it is the haircut, the weightloss or both, but you def. look younger. (err.. not that you looked not young before, please understand..)
You are def. pulling off that sleeveless shirt too.

Be proud of yourself! We are!

Thanks Kelly - my arms are my slowest losing part. When I measure, I am always disappointed when I get there. I have been doing some exercises to focus on my upper arms so maybe they are working.

If you saw the gray in my hair you would think I was 100 - thanks for the boost!

Thanks Katie! I would not argue with that nick name one bit! ;) I am so glad I posted those photos. I almost didn't because I didn't want to appear like I was fishing for compliments, but I needed the lift and when I actually noticed the change in my face and especially my triple chin (now a 1 and a half) I thought I would change my avatar. Then I decided, what the heck - I will just go ahead and show off a little. Thanks for all the comments.

OK - For 6 weeks now, I have been off plan more than I have been on. My doctor requested that I add more calories to my diet to aid in the healing process. I was very nervous about doing that and tried to stick to the "Transition Phase" of the program. Having more freedom with food choices basically did me in, but... well.... after all I was told by my doctor to eat more right  :?: I am NOT looking for platitudes or sympathy. I went back and read my previous rant about people who continuously sabatoge themselves and cheat over and over again - I will not allow myself to join that club so I am putting it in writing that as of today, I am going back on plan - officially!

Anyway, now that a few of us have decided to start a new 100 day compliance challenge starting tomorrow, I have re-committed myself to the program and 100% compliance. No excuses, no if, ands or buts about it - I did it before and I am going to do it again. This time there will be no reason for me to stop until I reach my goal.

Thanks to Katesmom for the idea of a new 100 day challenge adn the inspiration to stop sitting on the fence and get with the program.
