Thanks everyone for stopping by and saying happy New Year. 2008 started off OK actually. The pork roast is in the oven and sauerkraut waiting to be added. I can't remember ever starting a year without that German tradition. I have been working on getting Deanna's quilt done, then I have to work on my sister's. My foot doctor couldn't believe that I made my flannel jammies that I was wearing at the hospital so I told him I was going to make him some scrubs. Those are next on the list.

Happy New Year to all - may 2008 find us thinner and healthier than we were in 2007.

Blessings.

Amen, I had an out of control bipolar disorder, insomnia and a funky brain scan with inflammed nerves. The teeth problems are my new year's gifts to conquer! There is a lesson. FLOSS. Every one of my cavities was between teeth. I believed that commercial that told me that using their mouthwash was as good as flossing. Hrmph!

Thanks so much everyone! I thought I was going to get stitches out today, but doc said it wasn't ready yet. No big deal - just get them out next week now.

Pain is off and on now. Just when I think I don't need an Rx pain pill, I realize that I still do.

Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers.

This morning has been really rough. I woke up to my parents screaming and yelling at each other and it went downhill from there. My emotions have not been so rattled for a very long time. Some of that, I am sure, is related to the pain killers I am on for the ankle (they always mess with my moods), but I know that many "environmental" factors are weighing on me as well. Staying on plan has been a struggle today. I am not hungry and I keep reminding myself of that fact. I just want to soothe the emotional struggle going on in my head right now. This is the first time that I have really had to deal with emotions this strong and overpowering while on MF so I am trying to come up with new ways to deal with them. Journaling is one of those releases for me now - if my hands are busy on the keyboard then they are too busy to shovel food into my mouth. I should sew, but I am to rattled for that right now. If I had two good feet, I would go for a walk, but that is completely out of the question at this point.

On top of the emotional junk, I slipped and landed on my bad ankle this morning. Needless to say, the pain has returned with a vengence. I really don't think I landed hard enough to do any damage. The nurse at my doc's office said that if I didn't break the splint, then I probably did not do any damage inside. Basically, I am to take two pills and call if it gets worse or doesn't get better. Since the doc himself is in surgery all day today, I wouldn't be able to see him until Monday anyway.

Deanna and I have another trip to Snow Trails planned for tomorrow. We will get up early to get her up there by the time the lifts open. At least I will be out of the house, but I am not sure how I will keep myself occupied while she snowboards.

Ok - enough whining - time to find something to do to conqure this mood.

O'oooooh sweeeeeetie, i am so sorry to hear this:+( I wish i could be there with you to help you through things, and falling too, that certain doesn't help things either. How did you slip? Thank God you didn't break any bones in your ankle or anywhere else girl. I think you will have a nice time with Deanna tomorrow. Just close your eyes and take in deep breaths and imagine yourself snowboarding right along with her:+)

Ok my friend, you will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers for things to start looking better for you..they will i promise:+). You take good care of you and pleassseeee be careful.

Love'ya

Thanks Chy - I just took a mis-step with my good foot and lost my balance on my little leg caddy thing and fell - and I wasn't even doing anything I am not allowed to do. Go figure. Well, 8 hours and 4 Lortab pills later, it is finally feeling better.

Still on plan, but it has been a struggle the whole way.

Hey Bren! Thinking of you at the Snow Trails today :-P

Listen, you said you were looking for some seated aeorobic exercises right? Well when i was doing rehab after my stroke my therapists told me about a woman by the name of Maria Serrao who has exercise tapes of this nature. Just type her name in search and you'll see it. I believe you can purchase them from Amazon dot com.
