stopping over to say hi

Postby Joy » November 15th, 2007, 11:32 am

Hi,

I have been off-line for a bit because home/family required my full attention. All is well and I am doing very well.

I wanted to say hello and wish you a wonderful weekend!

cheers,

Thanks for the laugh - I needed it! My mistake was that I cut them on the line that they were suppose to be hemmed to. What I ended up doing was sew what I cut off back on then hem them, this put a seam at the bottom of the hem. Can't be seen so I think it is OK now.

Thanks Charity, I was pretty stoked over it. The store is called Value City or Shotensteins (I think it is an Ohio thing). They are a close out store that gets stuff other store don't want for some reason or another. You have to be careful to check things out since sometimes there are seconds, but this dress was fine.

Ok, well our house is in a big upset right now. Last night my mom realized that she was bleeding inside her surgical site again and had to be rushed into emergency surgery for the 3rd time to repair the bleed. The doctor found a weak capillary and completely snipped it off. He believes that this has been the culprit each time. So no Montana trip for them, and no getting the house to myself for me. I am just very grateful that it happened last night and not while they were out on the road in the middle of nowhere. Thank God for small blessings.

On the up side - I am still trying to figure out my outfit for Sunday's banquet. I have posted some photos in a new Photo Bucket album called "Which Wow Outfit?"
http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h2/fa ... %20Outfit/

I am taking a poll to see which outfit would make the biggest positive impression on those folks who haven't seen me since before MF. I want something that looks WOW because of my body, NOT because it is "black and slimming" or whatever. I don't want there to be any reason for someone to think it was the outfit that made me look like I had lost weight. Please BE HONEST! I can take it.

Thanks all

OHHHHH, I LOVE THE RED SHIRT! But you know red is my fav color. It's very flattering on you. My second fav is the sparkly shirt with the red bottoms. YOU LOOK INCREDIBLE! I can't believe how skinny you're getting!

Sorry to hear about your mom too, btw. But you're right-good thing it happened at home instead of out on the road. You're all in my prayers.

NOBODY has EVER used the word "skinny" when talking about me. YOU JUST MADE MY LIFETIME. You are not officially my bestest friend.

Thanks for the prayers. God is in control!

I like them all really. That is why I need your help.

Hi Brenda! I don't think I've stopped by since you made the 60 lbs club, but you are doing so good!

My vote is for the red sweater. Very slimming and really shows off the clavs!

I vote for the red sweater/gray slacks. The V-neck in a solid color is very flattering on you. It's probably best to stay away from horizontal stripes--they tend to accentuate the negative.

Great job on the weight loss! You are really lookin' great. :)

Red sweater is the way to go. You don't wanna use a black slack with that? It would be very dramatic :D

Yup, gotta agree, red sweater is my first vote, sparkle shirt with jacket has my second vote. Since i AM a big fan of black, why not go for black pants to look even SKINNIER??? Either way, you look GREAT! You are doing a WONDERFUL JOB!!
