Rigorously Honest

Postby bear45 » November 13th, 2004, 10:18 am

Good Saturday to all...I have been very OFF of my program and just NEED to say that out loud...I have been sick and then took a tumble and hurt my back and knee...unfortunately my "poor, pitiful part of me" used that as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted. So, NOW that I have said that out loud...I am REAFFIRMING to myself and to the group, that I am NOT willing to go back to where I was over 40 pounds ago...I feel better than I have in years, I am OFF of my blood pressure medicine and I am NOT regressing anymore...so, there you have it. I will be interacting here daily again and am BACK ON TRACK!!! I am still in the 40 pound club, thank goodness I did not gain too much back. Thanks to all who set such wonderful examples here...Lisa

Lisa,

Hope your injuries are temporary and mend fast. The back is the center of everything, and oh our poor knees having to carry all the extra weight. 40 pounds lighter definitely helps, and I KNOW you can feel that too. I feel light a puff of air now that I'm almost at goal - 70 pounds almost lost. So good to hear you taking good care of yourself. Nice to see you here again.

Lisa - it's nice to hear from you & your affirmations. Remember ... when we fall down, sometimes we just need a kiss on our boo-boo. kiss kiss. That can work even better than food sometimes.

Welcome back Lisa! I figure if there's a "mess up" or time off program, whether it's chosen or a "slip"... then the most important thing is how we look at it... will it help to 'beat yourself up' about it? Not really. You just say "yup, I messed up, but I'm back on track", just like you said! Don't worry about the could of's or should of's... cause you can't change the past, but girl you can sure change the future! Keep on shakin!
