Revelation

Postby mytime » September 9th, 2005, 9:19 pm

Well I had a revelation. It seems the longer I am on MF the more time I spend playing with my children in our yard. I recognize I am not as moody and well I just feel better about myself in general. So the other day I was playing football with our 4 year old and chasing him around the yard. Me 15 month old daughter wanted me to pick her up as she kept crying as I ran away from her (in her mind) to chase my son. So I picked her up and we ran after him together. She loved it and he did too. Now for the revelation. I was out of breathe - my son is very fast and I love to play so we are running like crazy. Then I put my daughter down and explained to her that I needed a break. My daughter, well both of our children are big- at 15 months she is 35 pounds. She is 115 % for ht and of course more for wt. and taller than any 2 yr old biy ir girl we have met. Anyway the MD says she is making her own growth chart. So in that moment it occurs to me - not 3 months ago I was running around with about 10 more pounds on my body than my daughter actually weighs ?!? How did I manage that and no wonder I was always so tired. I have swam competitively and played competitive tennis - all over wt and honestly I am a great athlete. I cannot wait to play tennis below 150- I marched right inside and warned my husband - it is all over for those with racquets !!! Thank you MF and this site for making me a better parent and helping me to become something I thought I never could. Mytime

MyTime ~

Awesome post! It is really wonderful when we realize just how much better we feel when we are not hauling around a couple bags of flour, eh?

I am really happy to hear that you are already realizing the benefits of making healthy choices. What a good day you had with your kids and they will have happy memories of their Mommy playing with them in the yard and will tell tales of the time their Mommy whipped Daddy on the tennis court.

You are gonna be one lean mean fightin' machine on the courts, MyTime!

Mytime:

You are doing so fantastic! What a great feeling to be able to "Keep up" with the kids. I've had some rough spots in the food department for the last couple of weeks, and you are truly inspiring me to get it together. Medifast is great!

Keep up the great work!

Hi Nancy:

Thanks for noticing! I'm so dreaming of ONEderland - that will be a huge milestone for me. I haven't been there since before I had my twins almost 10 years ago!

By the way - my dad (I've posted about him before) has hit 75 lbs gone!! He's totally rockin' with Medifast.

Thanks for all you do Nancy.

47 pounds in less than three months is awesome!!!

You are having quite the time of your life, MyTime! I am proud of you!

This is not easy but Medifast makes it easier than any other program. When you reach your goal, there will be some serious celebrating!
