regular food vs M/F

Postby sheri1103 » December 26th, 2006, 6:38 pm

Hi all - Just doing my post holiday check in. I was reading through the posts about the vodka diet. And I found something else that can sabbotage by efforts - too many work hours and not enough rest.
I worked my tail off 2 days before Xmas Eve and then sang at 3 services on Xmas Eve. (I should say I love to sing). But by yesterday (xmas) I was a zombie. I was so tired. And there were multiple times I almost slipped up simply becase I was too tired to pay attention. I had some roast chicken (no skin), steamed green beans w/ mushrooms. And ok I 'fess up I did try some of my husband's stuffing. But the good news I did not feel like stuffing me! I can't believe how my habbits are changing along with my waistline. And as to the weight, I maintained - no gain no lose - which for me is good to practice as I go along. I am one of those "professional dieters." And eating anything other then the 5/1 plan scares the heck out of me. So at some point in time I need to learn to eat properly and healthy. So yesterday was an excellent beginning.

Good for you, Sheri! I notice my body adjusted to the small meals quickly as well, and I lost that "need" to eat a full meal. Youre going to do great! And you made it through the Holidays!! Yippee!!

So you're saying it wasn't JUST the vodka diet and that I got 7 hours of sleep in 5 days might have something to do with it? I KNEW IT!

Hope you get some rest soon!

One thing I miss most about the booze is that it made me feel so crappy that I could sleep for a day....just snooze my hangover away...
