Reason Why I'm Fat

Postby smartipantz » March 24th, 2007, 8:15 pm

We all get heavier as we get older because there's a lot more information in our heads. So I'm not fat, I'm just really intelligent and my head couldn't hold any more so it started filling up the rest of me!!

Hehe! Just received this from a friend - thot I'd share :)

Good one. I think we all can relate to feeling that way at one time or another ;)

So..... does that mean that we are all getting more and more stupid as we lose weight? :idontknow: Perhaps I better stop now while I still have a few brain cells left. :stickwack:

I guess I'm unique because I'm fat because I sat on my ass drinking beer all day and eating ravioli out of the can.

Ah ha! I know as I'm getting older that I'm learning more and getting smarter in some areas.......but the bad thing is that my mind can only get so full before things start spilling out. Imagine your brain as a file cabinet drawer---you pull it open (forehead coming out. ;) Didn't you ever wonder what those wrinkles in your forehead are for?? They are handles for that file cabinet drawer!)...Anyway, pull out that file cabinet drawer, tuck in the newest knowledge in the front of the drawer and in order to make room, something always falls out the back of the drawer.......thus, that is why you, all of a sudden, cannot remember things that you knew as well as the back of your own hand......those were the things that fell out the back of your drawer when you tucked the new knowledge in............

Yep, tis true.....just try it, learn something new and within a day or two (maybe less) you'll try to access something you've know forever and 'poof' it isn't in your mind anymore.

OMG Tawanda. Isn't that the truth!!?? I'm a manager of three different departments and I feel the same way. My brain is only soo big - or maybe, like Mike said, the fact that I've lost weight and I'm becoming more stupid and my brain shrunk!!

We kill brain cells even when we sneeze so I wouldn't worry about it.

But they say we only use less than half of our brain power anyway so with you losing half your brain, you now use an above average 97% of your brain! You rock!

You just made my head explode trying to decipher that one! I think I've lost too many brain cells.

Tawanda! Are you a fellow Human Development major or something? Psych, perhaps? You seemed well versed in memory erosion!

Smarti! That's IT! We're not overweight, we're oversmart! (And OF COURSE, you'd be the one to know that! lol) Given the increasing girth of our students, perhaps dumming down the curriculum wouldn't be such a bad idea???
