Family atmosphere…. How many of you on this board (I am basically speaking about me) post on a very regular basis? You know most in this “club” like your friend, family member, confidant, trusted board member, but you have never met them. You build up this image in your mind of what someone REALLY looks like, and acts like in real life, though you have seen their picture in the studio, you still wonder. Have you ever spoken to them? Seen them?

I have posted/replied over 700 times in about a year I have been on this board. I speak with many of you via the board, many of you via PM, and even some on a regular basis via email. Some of us even share email jokes regularly. I have emailed with Tim and Nancy many, many times, as I have with many of you, but have only actually spoken to one of you in person. (and this was a complete, pleasant surprise) Some of you I am in contact with via email, even on the weekends at home, like we have been friends for years, but oddly we have never met. I just find this interestingly nifty, that you can build a relationship, trusting friends, in the same boat as yourself, trust them with private information that you would not even share with your family, and never meet them?!?! Nancy has given me her personal number more than once, and point blank told me to call anytime, but I never have.

Do I really exist? Do we really exist?

What I think is funny is that I picture the avatar when I picture someone from here. Mike has dark hair and a fedora. Carrie has pink hair. ;-)

Hopefully I'll be meeting Nancy on Oct 17 on her stopover in Honolulu. I'm SOOOO excited. There wasn't enough time on her first stopover Friday unfortunately. I'll let you folks know if we pull off our meeting.

Several years ago I "met" a woman on a frugal parenting board (or whatever I was into at that time--LOL) and we struck up a friendship and are STILL great buddies, though we have never, ever met!
We have occasionally spoken on the phone, she has sent gifts to the hospital when I had my children, we send pictures of our kids back and forth through the mail, and we email daily.
But at times I do think it's strange--the E-world we've built.

I've met a lot of people off the internet. But I'm a geek and so us programmer types have a tendency to congregate online. Some of them turned out to be great friends.

Hehe - I do actually have pink hair right now. Thats why I changed my avitar. It was blue before because I did have blue hair at the time.

Think I am loud on this board? You should see me in real life. Daddy didn’t raise no back seat driver. Now all I gotta do is teach my kids when and when not to use it to their advantage. Nothing like a 3 year old little Guido belching out orders!!

Hmmm, are any of us loud, or do we just CAPITOLIZE EVERY LETTER TO MAKE A POINT? Do we even exist?
