Reached 1st mini-goal

Postby want2Bthin » June 24th, 2005, 7:33 pm

As everyone can see by my ticker, I started this journey with 151 pounds to lose so needless to say this means I am not a small girl! :-P Anyway, I have never been one to share my weight with anyone.

However, I have made so many friends here that I guess it is time to share! I have officially met my first mini-goal. My ticker will not reflect what I am telling you until Sunday when I do my official weigh-in because things could go down more by then!

OK, when I started MF 3 1/2 months ago I weighed 296 pounds! I have had several unofficial mini-goals in mind that I have met. But my first official one was when I would go under 250. Well, today I did. This morning I weighed in at 249.5!!!  I know to some this is still a huge number but to me it is simply beautiful. I feel so much better now then I did. I was in a car accident in November & gained lots of weight over the next few months. Then I knew it was time to do something about this & fast!

Thanks for letting me share this experience with you all!

Woohoo!! Hurray!! Congratulations! And so near to the 50 pound club, too -- that's great!

Hey, at the rate MY scale's moving, you might be in ONEderland before me. ;)

So whatchya gonna do to celebrate? I personally think a shopping trip is in order. Too bad Kentucky's so far away (well, that and that my in-laws are there, but that's another story); it'd be fun to organize a shopping expedition.

Good luck on the next mini-goal.

Angelia, that's awesome! You definitely need to celebrate. (And I'm the same way. In a small step, since I refuse to post a "before" photo till I have one showing some progress, I did change my ticker from pounds lost to actual weight.)

I'm so glad you're comfortable enough here to share something so personal - we ALL know how awkward it can be to let strangers know what our official start weight is. You've come a long way! Be proud!

Congrats from me too Angelia! :yay:

Believe me I know it's hard to post your weight - I can't believe I did it - I won't even tell my husband how much I weigh  . But I figure if someone see's my stats and it helps them stay motivated in any way, then it's worth it.

You are doing SO AWESOME - you should be so proud of yourself and I hope you buy yourself a treat (non food) this weekend, you deserve it! :cleader:
