RACHEL,

When I saw your avatar on the Sunday Roll Call, I thought what a gorgeous girl...
I wondered if it were perhaps a model, but then...
Here you are in the STUDIO.

You have done so great in losing 60 pounds, and you look so great too!
Fantastic job of maintaining the earlier weight you lost.
Would like to know how you did it, since I will be facing that prospect before long.

Thank you for posting your pictures and joining in.
This is a great support group and we'd love to help you get to your goal, what ever you decide.

You have already shown that you will make it!

Liz,
Thank you for those compliments! That was SO sweet of you!
To answer your question about maintaining - I didn't really mean for that to happen, but then again, I wasn't taking the program seriously and I just sort of dropped into a maintaining phase. I ended up having somewhere between 1-3 medifast meals each day and just eating sensibly. Eating small portions and many of my meals resmbled lean and green meals. I also stayed active, at least taking a walk or riding my bike most days each week. I also went on a trip to Europe and one to San Francisco (and other short getaways) and didn't have any medifast meals on those. I never gained because I remembered to only eat when I was hungry and stop when I was full and make better choices. Little choices make big differences.

I think it would be a good idea to use medifast meals during maintaining process. I found out that it works well by accident. :)

Now I am totally committed to reaching my goal!

THANKS FOR RESPONDING to my pictures!!

I hope I helped.

THANK YOU, RACHEL!

It looks like you did accidently what Medifast actually recommends for maintenace but you are living proof that it works!

With what you have already learned, it should be a 'piece of cake" (not to be taken literally!) to maintain your goal weight.

I am so looking forward to your progress, and hope you will be posting pictures often.
A picture truly is worth a thousand words, especially to us MF travelers!
The inspiration is priceless!

Goal weight

Postby caligirl » July 19th, 2006, 1:44 pm

We have similar stats... 5'8", my start weight (2 wks ago) was 252.
Wow! I can't believe how much of a difference losing 50 lbs. made, and from what I understand you lost it in 3-4 months. Nice job! Were you on the 5-1 plan or just shakes?

This is a great idea, posting "in between" photos. It helps those of us just starting out who may feel a little daunted by a 100lb weight loss in front of us still.

Re: goal weight... About 10 years ago (I'm 34), I weighed 149, and I fit into a size 8-10. I've never been a body builder, but more of a walker and swimmer. Nothing fanatic though. I am curvy (I have a chest), so take that into consideration too when figuring your goal. Some people are build with a small frame (even though same height), but I have a large frame. see link: <snip>no urls please - Mr. Snippy</snip>

When did you start up on the plan again?
Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right... Henry Ford
