Sorry I haven't been around, but I was not able to check in since I was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and was discharged yesterday. I have only been able to get on line and order my Medifast since the doc said it is good to use with my supervised meals. Right now, I gained weight due to the IV that was given, but the doctors said it will flush out once I get home since it is mostly water. My gastro-intestinal disorder has improved alot and I am glad that is under control.
When I entered the hospital I weighed in at 237 and upon discharge yesterday I weighed 258 lbs, Yup, I gained 11 lbs, but like the doc said it is mostly water from the IV given to me and in a week or so, I will know what my exact weight is. Overall, I am happy because I have lost a grand total of 45 lbs right now and once I get back on Medifast and my regime, I will lose some more. I weighed 303 lbs in January 2004 and hopefully by the end of October I should weigh in at about 230-240 lbs (since there is water weight in me as well). The idea for me is to do it slowly, carefully, with a lot of awareness and avoid gaining weight.
Regarding Medifast and me, since I cannot be on a full liquid program and am on a combination shake and meal program, I still lost weight and did not gained any back, except when I was admitted to the hospital and those 11 lbs are due to the saline and not from eating. So I should optimistic and know, everything will continue as I have my goals set and will beat morbid obesity, get my health back and reach a BMI = 40 real soon. My best to everyone.
Unca, I finally made the 40 club and once this water weight is out of me, hopefully, I will see the 50 club or in my terms the half century club right around the corner.
Take care
