I am guilty of the hot shakin too, only mine was coffee and chai latte. What a sticky - yucky mess to clean up. Got it all over my outfit, and we were just getting ready to walk out the door. Everyone had to wait for me to take a shower to chai latte out of my hair. Ayeah - not a good thing. NOW I use the larger Tupperware shaker that has a little cap on the top. That way I can still use the hot coffee and relieve the pressure before the thing explodes!

Any time sojourner, glad I could help! I have to admit I was laughing along with everyone else that day. Even after my shower I swore I could smell the cinnamon from the Chai all day. Welp, guess it could have been worse, like something with garlic in it.

OK OK Add me to the list of people who shook the HOT stuff!!! and just as I could feel it getting ready to expand I thought OH S&%@!!! and then there was T latte ALL over things......and of corse I was already running late that morning! Lucky for me I am kinda a big guy and I kinda held the top on so not too much came out....although what did come out came out like a sprinkler effect!

Hey wanna bet I NEVER do that again!!

6 Pack, I don't think there is a picture to show how much your post made me laugh! Great visual - hee hee.

Sorry to laugh, I can't help myself. If you tripped in front of me, I'd do the same thing - - hahahaha  . I'm really NOT as horrible as that sounds ;-).

I still think my favorite was when Di (Diana)heated up the cream of broccoli in a little shaker that had a straw and sport lid. When she opened the lid the "volcano" effect happened and she didn't know what to do with it. As she was swinging it around her classroom, she was thinking to herself "those are my calories all over the place".

The story is in her journal somewhere.

Thanks, Rick. I have a magic bullet on the way - I think it looks a bit less cumbersome than my current blender - and I have a small hand held mixer that Mike recommended. I plan to use it when I travel.

Thanks everyone!!

What is the hand mixer? I am going to Florida (Disney on Medifast, can it be done?) in Jan and was thinking about it.
