Question regarding Edamame (steamed soy beans)

Postby dbedrosi » December 9th, 2007, 10:42 am

Hi Folks,
I have a quick questions. I went out last night to a sushi restaurant with my husband and I ordered edamame (soybeans) and sashimi. I ate about 1 cupe of shelled edamames. I realized doing research when I got home that this food is NOT on the allowed list of green foods. Did I break the ketosis phase and now have to start over? I realized at the end of the meal that I felt more fuller than normal and felt little sunken. ugh!
I got on the scale this morning and I'd lost a pound, which is the good thing but i want to ensure I remain in ketosis as I am very motivated and commited to this program. Thanks in advance for your replies
Tks,Denise

I'd love to know if edamames are allowable also. :)

I could have swore that I responded to this a couple of days ago. Maybe it was a PM.
Anyhow, doing a little search also, I found our wonderful Nancy's response to this question back in 2004.

Hope that helps. Her response is to leave edamame alone while in the weight loss phase due to carbs.
