Question about "snacks"

Postby ascicles » March 18th, 2006, 2:32 pm

I got a new shipment today, which included some of the medifast crackers. While reading the guide, it says that you are allowed an approved medifast snacks per day, and up to two cups of bouillon. Can this be used together?

I have gotten into the habit of making a cup of bouillon with dinner every night, and occasionally (if I am hungry) another cup during the day. Is it ok to use the crackers in my cup of bouillon? If so, should I make sure to eliminate the extra cup of bouillon?

While the crackers seem nice, one package doesn't look to me like something that would be that filling as a treat, so I would prefer to use it in my bouillon, since they could add a nice taste to it.

Thanks for all of the help you guys have been providing me. I'm down 18.5 pounds as of this morning, and without the tips from all of you, I'm sure it would have been less.

It's fine to have your packet of crackers with bouillon. I know lots of people have theirs with their Fast Soup. I have mine in either a regular soup or chili.

I concur! I work out and need that extra sodium due to sweating! It keeps me balanced!

Those crackers can be dangerous. They are the only medi-food I've had where, upon finishing the serving, I found myself thinking, "hmm . . . another package of those would be really great." I didn't have another package, and I've managed to keep it to no more than one package a day (or even every other day), but did they ever awaken some initial cravings!

Dayna I totally agree. I think I get lustful thoughts of crackers even more then bars. lol
I count mine, usually there's 12 in a packet and I have 6 with soup and later the other 6 with more soup or just as a little snack by themselves. One day there was 13 in a pack and I felt like I hit paydirt! LOL

Gina
