Question about my schedule for today.

Postby ascicles » April 14th, 2006, 1:48 pm

I am going out of town today and I got up much earlier than usual. In order to fit everything in correctly, I need four of my medifast packets and my lean and green before I get off work at 6:30. It's not a problem, because I can fit everything in every 2-3 hours. With this, my final medifast meal will be at around 9:00-9:30 tonight.

Since I am going to my hometown, I will be catching up with a lot of friends and I usually stay out really late (until 3-4 in the morning, usually). Are there any problems with having my final meal at 9, but not going to bed until 3-4? That's a total of 6-7 hours. I'm not worried about the hunger, since I am never hungry at night...but I am concerned that my body will be "confused" by the long delay.

Ascicles--That is a really good question and the way I understand it is that you should eat every 2.5 to 3 hrs while you are awake. This keeps the metabolism up and running and will also keep you from being really hungry upon awakening in the morning.

Hope this helps and have fun with your friends

So, I should have another medifast meal even if I'm not hungry? Maybe I could just make a cup of bouillon before I go to bed? I really don't want to cheat, especially if I'm not going to be hungry.

I don't think you'd actually have to eat another meal but if you're body's giving you cues then you would definitely want to have an extra. Normally you'd be asleep anyway!

Hi Ascicles,
If you're up and active, you won't be cheating. Your body will need the extra fuel.

So is it something that is required, or just needed if I'm hungry?

Since you're adding an extra 6 hours to your day, i'd have at least one more meal.
