Hi all,

I'm currently doing the full fast like that:

- Shake
- Shake / Oatmeal
- Soup
- Shake
- Bar
- Shake

I read that on the FAQ:

Complete Meal Replacement (Medifast 55, 70, Appetite Suppression) - Requires five Medifast supplements a day, no regular food. Recommended if you have a lot of weight to lose or you prefer to avoid all food choices.

I wanted to know, with my current plan I have 6 meals/day. I want to OPTIMIZE weight loss: should I reduce to 5 meals/day if I feel no hunger, including the bar?

I'd do something like:

- Shake
- Shake / Oatmeal
- Soup / Bar
- Shake
- Shake

Would it be better for weight loss?

Went to 150, then began gym to build some muscle; currently 173.8! (Need to cut some fat)

NOOOOOOOOO!!! :stickwack: Don't mess with the program... :x It is like Nancy and Unca will tell you.... do the program the way that it was meant to be done. It is a lot like when Moses came down from the Mountain with the ten commandments.... "dont add or take away" Just do it :lol: :lol:

If you cut your calories more then your bod is going to go into starvation mode and your weight loss is going to sloooowwww down..... :deadhorse:

You are doing great....dont re-write the plan. Besides if you do try to re-write the plan...nancy will beat you...and that sure is not going to be fun!!

Hi Hyper,
Is that on our FAQ's where you read 5 meals a day for the "full fast"?

Show me where that is at. That's the old protocol and is not in use anymore. The "full fast" is 6 meal replacements/day now.

And you do know that the "full fast" requires regular monitoring by your MD?

Try not to be in a hurry or judge your progress by others' results. We're all different and your body will respond to the program exactly as it should. The thing to remember is that you WILL respond to the program and lose weight safely.

Hi Unca,

Unfortunately for me, in Québec, it is extremely hard to be monitored by a doctor, because our medical system is public and let's say we have a lot of problems with it.

Less than 1 person out of 3 have a family doctor, and when we need to be monitored, we have to go to hospital for a waiting time of +- 8 hours (not exagerating), depending on the severity of the problem.

What I did though is get a blood test before I went on MF, and everything was fine.

If I feel light-headed, or if I get whatever symptom, be assured that I'll go see a doctor immediately :lol:

I get your point about not being in a hurry about others' results. I'll try to stay focused on 6 meals a day, it's been working fine until now, and I really don't feel any hunger or problem.

I guess I was just being too much in a hurry, seeing pictures of me 3 years ago when I was 70 pounds thinner :oops: :oops: :oops:

Six MF meals on the complete program? I read the MF literature that came with my order and it said 5-6 MF meals a day. I have been doing 5 mostly. Some days I have 6 if I am extra hungry. Is it really six?

Six shakes

Hi Judy,
Yup, the protocal is now six shakes or meal replacements each day if you are doing the complete program. Don't want to lower the calories sooo low that you don't lose. That old self preservation mechanism you know
