IMPRESSIVE. Can anyone say IDOL........... I am so happy for you. That is just so wonderful that you can run 6.2 miles.

Also how cool on the size 12 jeans. That must be a great feeling. Would love to see Pictures.

Thank you so much, Biki! I was reading through my journal last night and I realized how much being here was a huge part of my initial success. I missed you, too, and I am really so happy to hear about how well you're doing - reaching goal and modeling/acting. You continually inspire me so I'm glad that my exercising inspires you.

Hey Katie!

Thank you so much for the kind words :) I'll have to take a pic in the jeans next week. The jogging is still a surprise to me. As I told Biki, I read through my journal last night and I never even believed I would finish the couch to 5k plan. I've quit so many other things that I just thought I would quit that, too. Fortunately, it seems once I started jogging and losing weight, my body responded really well and is able to jog distances I never really imagined myself completing. It is so much easier to jog at 180-something than it was at 220-something. Maybe when I'm jogging at 140-something I will get that floating feeling that Holberry told me about quite some time ago. Speaking of hol, hey hb! Hope you are well.

WOW, I haven't really gone running since I weighed 117 pounds. I can't even imagine running now with the twins. But I do speed walk and have some great times....I walk quite fast! CONGRATS on keeping up with jogging!! Maybe I'll try it in the spring when it warms up a bit here. Right now I have been doing Slim & 6 and my Step Aerobics videos...I don't feel right if I don't do something every day!! (I think it's helping me too!!)

When I decide to try jogging I'll have to seek out your advice!!

Fine tuned machine???? I am struggling to be a machine, let alone fine tuned or even well oiled!! Queenie, you go girlie! I can't imagine running. I HATE running, but then again, i have never tried it unfat so there's always hope i guess. 5mph a SLOW pace???? Get outta here. Running 10k at 6.2? Since these numbers sound high to me, i guess you can see where my running abilities lie! Anyway, geat job on staying conditioned even with the 2 month vacation.

Queenie, I'm impressed and a bit  over your athletic capabilities (and HB's, too). I'm so glad that you are back with us and that you were able to get HB to post also. :)

Hey, quit calling 5 mph slow!! I may be slow as molasses, but my heart rate monitor thinks I'm "elite." Hmph. :x

at 5mph, i'm gonna think you are elite too! Then again, i guess non-runners, such as myself, are not qualified to judge fast or slow!

Well, no, I'm elite because my resting heart rate is around 54, WAY down from 70 or more when I was younger.

In my last 5K I averaged a little over 4.5 mph, but I walked at least half of it. I still can't run the whole thing, especially outside in the real world.

Sorry to hijack. I'm mighty impressed by your speed and athleticism. And, like T, a bit envious.

Hey Robin,

I didn't mean at all to imply that anybody else who jogs at 5 mph is slow, just that it's slower than where I was a couple months ago since I was jogging at 6 mph. I still wish for your dedication and until I can come close to matching it, it will take me forever to lose these last 50 pounds or so.

From now on, I'll just talk about distance, not speed :) Oh, and that was the first time someone ever said "your athleticism" and "your" referred to me. I'm thrilled!

117? Wow! I probably weighed more than that in 2nd grade. Fortunately (unfortunately?) my girls aren't big enough to get in the way of me jogging. I have the Slim in 6 dvd but I never stuck with it. I should try it again. Hang on to that feeling of not feeling right if you don't do something everyday. I had it once and it was great. Now if I could only get it again...
