Hey, Queenie! So, how's the extreme work-out challenge going for you? We haven't seen you for a few days, are your arms too sore to type? :-)

I know I don't post often, but I check in once in a while to say hi, and especially to compare "war" stories on exercise with my co-gym-junkies!

Touch base soon, chica.

Hi Queenie,
I haven't stopped by in a while so I have been catching up on your recent journal. Wow, that is some kind of exercise program! I think I may have been the failure poster girl for all the categories! :?
A while back when you were saying no one at work had noticed your weight loss I just couldn't see how that could be possible. How terrific they finally said something!
You are doing great. You are such an inspiration, I don't know that I will ever exercise at your level!
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Hey Lauren, thanks for stopping by!

Today I did the body power class and a yoga class after that. The workout for body power was 4x5. We had 4 reps of doing cleans and presses for 5 minutes with a partner using medicine balls. After that, we had to jump rope or run in place for 1 minute, then the rep started over again. A clean and press is when you squat and pick up the medicine ball, bring it to your chest and lift it over your head. My partner and I did sets of 10 for the 5 minutes (she would do 10, then I would do 10 until the 5 minutes were up). The jumping rope/running in place for a minute was tough because we were supposed to go full out. After the 4 reps, we did a cool down that was holding a yoga pose for 30 seconds and resting for 15 seconds for 4 different poses, repeated twice.

I almost skipped the yoga class, but that would mean I wouldn't do any yoga for the week so I stayed for it. It was fine, a little hard for me to do some of the moves but I could do way more than I thought I would be able to do.

I felt like I was floating by the time I left the gym. It is truly a wonderful feeling to know that I worked out hard and gave it all I had. Being on plan and exercising feels so much better than anything I could ever imagine to eat. It is hard to remember that when you haven't had that feeling for a couple of weeks. But fortunately, it is hard to forget the feeling once you have it. So as many people have said before, just don't go off plan and you'll be fine ;) Glad to see that Nickie had a compliant day today, too. I kind of felt like I wasn't the only one restarting today (actually, I was compliant yesterday, too, but I didn't work out).

Oh, and I weighed just a minute ago (after all my meals and water) and I weigh less right now than I did when I woke up this morning. That NEVER happens to me. Can't wait to go back to the gym!

Thanks, Biki! I had to wait until I had something new to report before I posted in my journal, but I've been lurking.

Thank you, Mickey :) There are still some people I work with (on a different project) who haven't said anything about the 50 pounds. They made a huge deal when another one of our team members lost 30 pounds or so on a plan similar to Nutrisystem but nothing about me so far.

It feels great to exercise at whatever level, so I encourage everyone to do more of it :)

Queenie not sure you were on board it when this happened but no one said ANYTHING about my weight loss until I lost 60 pounds. And that was a funeral and noticed by the widower! Just like you, I posted pictures here and everyone agreed I looked smaller and bought smaller clothes, but not a word until 60 pounds. Now they are coming out of the woodwork stopping me on the street. Makes me really not want to gain back now that I have people watching!

Queenie your workout sounds great! Just the thought of pushing yourself to do new exercises and being able to keep up sounds so exciting to me! I can totally relate to that floating feeling you are talking about. I can still get lazy and skip a few days but then when I start back I always fall right back in love with that exercise high.

Keep up the great work! You continue to be an inspiration!

Girl I do not know how you have that much energy. I was exhausted reading what you did. Today Is the 2nd day of the couch 2 5k and I felt Like somebody just ran over me. I hope one day I can do as much exercise as you do. Keep up the great work.

Thank you, Tracy! I'm hoping to be like Robin and stop skipping days (ok, so it was more like a week). I fizzle out sometimes after working really hard for a while.
