Hi Queenie - let me know what you think. I have the book so I could look at it all the time. Plus last year there were so many of us who did this program at work. It's kind of overwhelming to begin with but once you start it and refine it as you go - it just sticks with you. It makes so much sense. Like I said, let me know what you think. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Hey Queenie, hope you have a good day. I'm actually starting the C25K today instead of yesterday and holberry is starting it too. See what you started!

Thanks for the help, Sue :) I haven't had a chance to throughly look over the site so when I do, I'll let you know what questions I have.

I'm so happy to hear that you and hol are doing the couch to 5k, Donna! I started my fifth week yesterday and it is still going well. I don't ever think I will make it through the workout before I start, but somehow I do! That's a great feeling. Hopefully I will be able to complete the rest of this week as it includes an 8 minute jog and a 20 minute jog  If I make it through those 20 minutes, I will be doing a naked happy dance as soon as I regain my strength :)

I had a superb NSV yesterday. Since the end of last week, I've been trying on 16s at various stores and they have all at least buttoned/fastened and some have actually fit nicely. Well yesterday I went to Ann Taylor Loft and I saw a white cotton dress with a silver pattern that was really cute. I looked, but no 16s. I went to the rack a little later to look again and I decided I would try on the 14 to see how much I had to go before I could wear it. I'm happy to report that not only did the 14 work (insert smiley for incredulous shock) but I wore it last night to a concert! No other 14 in the world will probably work but that one, but I will take it!

In other news, the scale finally moved down this week after a few days of TOM inflation. July is my last month in the 200s. You gotta believe (and be compliant) :)

Queenie!
Ohhh boy naked dance after running! You will make the 20 minutes. I know you will.

How fun is that, a size 14?? You go :D
Is the Ann Taylor Loft somewhere I need to visit?
I have never been in an Ann Taylor, cause I felt I was toooo big. Love the looks I see in the window tho.

Im with you on the 200's Bye bye. And I never, ever want to see those numbers on the scale again.

sweat on,
hol

Queenie - congrats on your progress with the couch to 5K. You go girl. And a size 14 - I know how wonderful that must feel. Onederland is close for you (under the 200 lb mark) and I know you will make that goal and then some. Have a great day!!

Queenie that's wonderful on the size 14, congratulations! I can only imagine how that made you feel. So how much weight have you lost just since you have started the C25K program?

I'm ashamed to say that I only lasted 7 minutes on the treadmill yesterday. It's like I just didn't have the energy and then my left heel started hurting (found out what the problem was) so I may have to work my way back up to the C25K. Sort of depressing since I was walking 2 miles at the track a few months ago.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement :)

It's ok, Donna, if the first workout didn't go as planned. Just try it again. I really do like the program and I would recommend it to anyone. I started c25k on June 4 and I've lost 10 pounds since then. I love exercising so much right now that I don't want to stop just because my weight loss isn't faster. Not to say that I don't think I haven't been losing at a fast enough pace - I certainly have.

I have to find something to do if I don't join Curves. I need to look at body for life and figure out what to do. I'm trying to get Sue's abs :)

I think 10 lbs in that little bit of time is a great pace Queenie, your doing great. I still plan on doing the C25K it may just take me a little longer to get to the point of jogging.

Thanks, Chynna, for the congrats. It makes me feel great that all of you help celebrate my accomplishments. This board is great for that. I'm always encouraged by other people doing well and reaching their goals. So many people to look up to for all kinds of different reasons. Some of you have the patience of a saint, others are able to rebound from setbacks easily, and other people are amazingly compliant and stick to tough exercise regimens. I'm glad I found all of you :)

want to go bowling! Hope you have fun, Donna.

I did jog 2 of week 5 today. Walk 5, jog 8, walk 5, jog 8. Yet again, I didn't think I could make it the 8 minutes but I did. It felt great. The next jog (Monday) is 20 minutes long. I keep telling myself that I should realize by now that I can do it since I've finished all of the other jogs when I didn't think I could.

Biki, one day I want to do stadium stairs but that day is a long way off.

I read an article in Women's Health yesterday that gave me the idea for my next fitness challenge - after the 5k is conquered. There is a 100 mile bike race in New Mexico that seems like something I could never think about doing before now. Someday I want to start training and go back to New Mexico and perhaps try the race. Dream big :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
