I cannot even imagine that much snow during a winter! Hope you get to see some signs of springtime soon.

Hey ya Queenie!

I haven't been to visit you for a while...I've been gone on a Mexican Fiesta! I am slowly trying to catch with old friends here and get around to meet new folks.

I see you are still the same inspiring exercising maniac as when I left!

Speaking of summer dresses, I have got to do something about my waving upper arms, guess it may be time to actually join a gym. :x I hate gyms (is this a tude problem?) I'm still power walking and doing Pilates, but to get in enough Pilates classes during the week to really make a difference it is getting a little costly. Maybe I'll pull out some old exercise DVD's like The Firm (if I can get the dust off!) Kickboxing sounds cool, but I don't think this old body and sensitive neck could handle it, couch to 5K helped my chiropractor put his kid through college!

Stay in touch!

I wish I could afford to do Pilates right now. I'm hoping to give myself some classes as a gift once I lose some more weight. Yesterday the gym on campus was closed so I did the elliptical machine in our gym at my apartment complex. I haven't been on an elliptical in a while so it was a nice change.

Today, it's more kickboxing!

Quennie,
I do not know when you have the time to do it all. Did you ever think that you would be able to do all of this.

Thanks for saying hey, ladies!

I'm sore from kickboxing this week. I think that's a good thing. I've been eating well since Friday, so I hope this trend continues. I have kickboxing tonight at 5:30. The hard part about that is I lose motivation as the day goes on. I've been going at noon the past couple of days but couldn't make it today at noon. Hopefully I will be able to fight of the lazy dragon and make it tonight. I want to wear some shorts this summer that show off my amazingly toned legs. Problem is they're not amazingly toned yet. Good thing I have a couple more months until it gets hot here :)

Hey exercise diva! Did you make it to the other class? I am sooo looking forward to exercise-but I'm sure it's cause I don't HAVE to do it now. Does that make any sense?

Hope all is well in your part of the world!

Hey Skye,

Yeah, I went to the 5:30 class last night. It was tough but the time went by pretty quickly. Only one more class this week (tonight) then no more kickboxing until Monday. By then, I'm sure I will be looking forward to it again.

What do you mean that you don't have to exercise now?

Just wanted to record how accomplished I feel after I attended all of the offered kickboxing classes this week. I have huge problem with commitment to any type of exercise. I'm trying to make it at least 4 out of the 5 times each week for the remaining weeks. This week was only 4 sessions. I have 8 weeks to go!

I also want to encourage people who are a little hesitant to start exercising to start anyway. I'll refer you to Lauren's post a couple weeks ago that was so right on about why we should exercise in spite of any fears we have about the scale not moving down. The scale will move if you move!

I'm with you Queenie. I want people to exercise and not worry about weight stalls. The benefits are so fantastic.

This morning I woke up feeling a little grumpy (who me? Miss Sunshine) So I went out for a 3 mile power walk and I felt so good afterward, totally changed my mood. I would exercise for that benefit alone!

People don't have to get all wound up about what kind of classes or tapes, just start using those legs! OK, I'm preaching to the choir now!

Happy Easter!

Hey Queenie. I'm impressed with your kickboxing! And I only meant with the not having to exercise that it isn't required when you have so few calories. It's not the whole weight stall thing that I'm worried about. Just passing out if I do too much.

I do walk a lot actually. And yoga when I can get a nice peaceful minute to do it. One day, when I'm less big I would love to try some aerobics classes. I am intimidated tho. So, anyway, that's me. I do like reading about what you and those other exercise divas do.

Thanks for clarifying, Skye! Like Mickey said, walking is a great way to get moving. And some people add an extra supplement if they're working out a lot.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
