Thanks you ladies for the wows and compliments
I'm glad that you like hearing about the exercises because I like talking about them!
Biki, I'm 26. Being like me is so easy. I kind of find it hard to believe that I even got here. I mean, I started by doing the C25k and going to Curves. Pretty soon, I'll be at the strength level at the gym which will include those intense cardio classes. Yesterday, my partner at the gym kept telling me how strong I was. I have to admit, my warrior poses at the end of class were looking pretty good. I forgot to mention what we did to warm up yesterday. It was a bunch of drills - jogging, high knees, butt kickers, jogging grapevines (called karaokes), crawling forwards and backwards - by the end of the 10 minute warm up, I had already burned 100 calories.
Lauren, you would love the FIT workout this week. It's the jump rope pyramid: 50-100-150-200-250-200-150-100-50 both backwards and forwards on the jump rope. I don't start the FIT classes until next week so I will let you know how they go. They usually include lots of jogging and jumping. Lunges aren't my favorite things either, but yesterday they were best out of the 3 exercises since I wasn't so good at the lateral handwalks and the body rows get hard after the first set. And yes, you are standing while doing the body rows. You lean back until your body is almost parallel to the ground and try to keep your knees from coming forward when you pull up.
Donna, they took a before picture at the gym. She wanted me to take my shirt off, but I only had a regular bra on underneath. I didn't really want to take a picture in my bra (probably wouldn't have taken it in my sports bra either, but maybe). She had me tuck my tshirt into my bra so at least we will be able to see some changes in my belly, hopefully.
And yes, Hols, it feels great to be on the road to kicking some booty! I'm not there yet, but I'm going to be
