Biki and Robin,

For some reason I believe myself when I say I'm going to exercise later. I'm gullible :)

Thanks for stopping by, Mickey. I appreciate your kind words. Hope you enjoy your weekend as well!

Hi Queenie girl,

You are too cute for words! Is that the new purple dress hiding under your face?

4 miles, way to go! I dont know about you, but just thinking about my level of activity last summer makes me a little sad.
What kind of running shoes do you have?
I ordered New Balance from the NB store and they are in! For me, in the past, NB was like running on pillows.

Thanks for stopping by my journal.
Interviewing is a bit tedious, but this round was quite successful. I am the district admin for homeless education. This position is for a teacher working in an after school program.
We are hiring a sterling teacher for the kids, Im so jazzed!

Welp, got to go to the track.
ciao,
h

Hey Queenie;

I just wanted to drop in and say how cute your new avatar is. I guess I'm not alone in thinking that, either!

Thanks Hols, Nickie, DeDe and Katie for your compliments :) I thought I was looking particularly cute that day so I took the picture and decided to change my avatar. The other one was almost a year old anyway.

This morning's big news? 50 pound club!!

Since Saturday is my personal weigh day, I'm down 5.5 pounds since last Saturday. For some reason, I didn't realize the loss was that big this week (I forgot how much I weighed last Saturday during the rest of the week because I was so focused on onederland) so this was a nice surprise. This means I get an ipod! woohoo! Now I can go jogging through the arboretum without having to sing in my head. I'll actually have something to listen to.

Thanks everybody for your encouragement. Just like with the no-cheat challenge, it helps me tremendously to know that when I reach a new milestone in exercise or weight loss that I can come here and report it and receive such great support.

Congrats on the the 50 lbs club! That is super!

Queenie, I've been impressed by your jogging reports the past several days so last night I went back and read through your entire your journal. Wow! You are such an inspiration! I really admire the way you set goals with your weight loss and excercise and then "just did it". You are definitely leading by example. For that, I thank you.

You definitely deserve to be Queen today!!

Yay!!! I'd better get my butt in gear, you're going to run right past me!

I've got a little queenie on my shoulder now, breathing down my neck, reminding me I can't turn back and I can't have a nibble or she'll catch me!

I'm just being cute, you know - in all actuality, I'd be thrilled for you if you reached goal first. We're all on our own journey, like we're running the same marathon, but there is no winner because we're all winners as long as we finish!
