It's 6:17am and I hope the sleep fairy is putting the final touches on the beginning of your onederland experience!

Oh, another note on shopping on Ebay right now. I am stocking up on my fall and winter basics because they are still out of season (just barely). My just walking to Starbucks uniform in winter is a cashmere sweater with jeans or wide leg trousers. I am buying up loads of cashmere at ridiculously low prices. I love fitted cashmere sweaters because they are a more sophisticated way of showing off the twins.

You're so sweet, Biki :) The sleep fairy decided he (must be a he because of his control issues ;) ) wanted to teach me patience and dropped me down to 200.5. We'll see what he does tomorrow after I get about 5 miles in today.

Hey Hol,

Here's how you know I have a problem: I bought the dress with no thoughts about where I might wear it. I just thought it was pretty so that was good enough. I will probably wear it to work/class. It's really easy to look nice on campus when most people (students) are in sweats and uggs.

Ha. You're not alone. I have yet another dress I'm considering wearing Friday night (although I doubt I will). It's something I bought about 15 YEARS ago for a friend's wedding and never wore because it was just a tiny bit too tight. But it was on clearance and a great deal and I loved the print, so I bought it and kept it all these years. And now it's a wee bit big, but not so big that I couldn't wear it. But kind of out of style, and not at all appropriate for summer.

I'm thinking I should take it to a seamstress or something and have it made into something that I WOULD wear.

But I can't tell you how many things I donated that still had tags on them. It's a disease. I'm trying very hard not to look at cashmere on eBay right now (OK, I already did take a glimpse, but I didn't bid on anything because if I can have self-control and willpower about food and exercise, then I can have it about shopping, too!!!).

You're right, Robin, it is a disease! I read a study recently that found that if you exercise self control in one aspect of your life (the experiment involved not thinking about a certain item) then you are less likely to exercise control in another part of your life (the experiment involved shopping).

So my excuse is that since I'm exercising self-control by dieting, I should be expected to shop more. I don't know who is buying that excuse, but sometimes it works on me when I tell it to myself :)

Oh - and as if we needed further proof, I bought a Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater today from the factory outlet all thanks to this talk about cashmere :)

Hee. OK, I need to find another area of my life to lose control in, so I don't go broke. Maybe I could sleep around or something.

The one good thing about all the cashmere talk is that as much as I love cashmere, it's hard to even think about it when Texas summer has finally hit here.

Dang it - my intercom system wasn't set up in my apartment on Saturday and the Fedex person came with my supplements. I missed him/her so now I have to wait until tomorrow because they don't work on Mondays.

Lol! How did I miss this the first time? Well, if it's not shopping it has to be something, right?

Ha ha ... well, maybe they only do a study on people who are losing/have lost a bunch of weight and *need* new clothes because of that ... LOL. We *have* to go shopping (that's what I am telling myself and it definitely seems to be working out just fine *whistles* ).

Just stopping by to say you're doing great ! Keep rockin' and show us some pics of your new cashmere .

You're right, Karli. I only buy things that I need

Ok, so the scale fairy must be mad at me about the comments I made about HIS control issues. I have 3 scales (ok 4, but 3 digital ones). The one I started with always weighs me at least 2 pounds less than the Tanita I upgraded to and around 3 pounds less than the healthometer from Walmart. Well, this morning, the Tanita said I was 1.4 pounds less than yesterday (201.8 Tanita weight today) but the scale I've used from the beginning showed me up at least .5 pounds (depending on when I stepped on it showed a loss of 1 pound to a gain of 2 pounds). What is really going on, scale fairy? You are messing with my mind!

The analog scale weighs me less than 200, around 198 but since I didn't start with that one, I can't count it.

Too many scales = too much drama.
