You're so close. You'll be there in no time. What's a few days (or even an extra week or two) in the grand scheme of things?

Queenie, Your success on the c25k has inspired me to start. I did it last night and it didn't kill me or even injure anything! In fact, I felt good after and even this morning, the little aches felt good. Tomorrow morning is the next hurdle.

Thanks for being my workout hero

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies. It's been tough staying on schedule since I moved on Monday. I have stuff everywhere. I hate moving! I started Slim in 6 yesterday. I think I'll go work out now. I've been so lazy these past two weeks.

I'm glad you started the c25k Robin and Jo. Robin you're so advanced you'll be out running me in no time. And Jo, sounds like you're off to a great start!

Being stuck in the low 200s is about as much fun as eating rocks. Soooo close to onederland and so far away. At least I'm 50 something pounds closer than I was in April. No more complaining. November 6th will be here before I know it and so will weights that I haven't seen in my adult life. That's exciting!

Oh, and my 50 pound reward is an ipod. I think that's why it's taking me so long because the universe doesn't want me to buy an ipod.

What week are you on in the 5K thing?

And I adore my iPod. Although it's old, so now I wish I had a newer one, of course. Or maybe even a Zune. I think if I had it to do over again, I'd get one that was more flexible (i.e. one that didn't force me to use iTunes). But I still love it. It holds SO much music.

Ok, Robin was right. Slim in 6 ramp it up kicked my butt. I did the start it off yesterday and decided to ramp it up today. Hard but doable except for all those pushups and tricep moves i skipped. I did some of them but my arms are weak I guess. Big and weak.

Let's see what happens in 6 weeks. For some reason, I'm not sure I can stick with it like I did the c25k. There I go doubting myself again. My new bedroom laid out like my old one where I had my treadmill before I moved. Now the treadmill stays folded up which makes it less likely that I will get on it. I'm lazy if I didn't say that before. I need to get a mat for it since at my old place I just used the cardboard box it came in as the mat for the 1.5 years that I've had it. Maybe there's room for it in my second bedroom once I get it set up. It's supposed to be my study so we'll see if the treadmill fits. My complex has a fitness center so I don't have any excuses for not jogging other than my laziness. Also, they're opening up a 24 hour gym right across the street from me soon. Plus, I already plan to start taking group fitness classes on campus the week after next. Hopefully I will get a routine going like I had before with curves and c25k. But now that I;ve finished the c25k, the challenge is gone a little. I need to find a 5k210k challenge to motivate me. And Slim in 6 can replace Curves except that I have to do it 6 times a week.

Nothing to it but to do it!

See, I am just not in the right mindset. In the fall I am planning on taking acting classes and brushing up my French at the Alliance Francaise. I plan to be jogging in a few weeks (when my custom bra gets here) then but this stuff you guys are describing is way out of my league. Maybe because I am used to a not so busy day, what you guys do on top of work and school sounds amazingly overwhelming for my dimply butt.

Why not just challenge yourself to go a little faster on the 5K? Try to go just a little bit farther every week or something? That's my plan once I finish the program, at least.

And I hear you, Biki. Some weeks I feel like the workouts and extra stuff give me MORE energy. But then there are weeks like this one, when I really just want to veg on the couch. No working out, no work. Sigh. But I like having a home and food and all that way too much. :)

Hi miss Queen!

You are doing so well. Im proud of you and inspired too.

Is there a fall race in town you can train for? Or at the new gym they may have postings and groups that train for an event.
I saw at my gym there is a triatholan training group. It's always been there, but yesterday it really caught my eye. Im just thinking about next summer.....

I say forget about an office, make it a gym, just kidding.

Have a good weekend lovey.

I didn't see this before. I finished the 8 weeks of the c25k two weeks ago. Well, almost 3 weeks ago now. So I'm trying to add a quarter mile to my jog each week. Well, I was before I stopped jogging to focus on moving/unpacking. I hope to jog today and see how far I can get without giving up. It's been a week so I hope I'm still at or around 3.25-3.5 miles.

You're WAY ahead of me. I'm on week 5 of 9, and even when I get to where I'm jogging the whole time, I won't be going fast enough to jog 3 miles in 30 minutes. I don't go anywhere NEAR 6 mph yet.

Don't know how long you've been there, Queenie, but I checked my graph today and I hovered around 210 and below for 5 weeks (mostly because of cheating) and yeah, it sucked. But you will leave it eventually, I'm proof that it does happen (in its own sweet stinkin' time)!

Robin, I can do (could do?) the 5k in 30 minutes, but anything over 5k and I slow down to about 5.5 mph. I decided I would rather increase my distance than speed first so I jog at 5.5 if I know I'm gonna do more than the 3.1 miles.

And Nickie, I guess I shouldn't complain too much as it's only been 3 weeks since I first got to 210.5. I hope today was my last official weigh-in over 200. If I do what I'm supposed to do, it has to be!

Oh - and thanks Robin for the dress info. I went to NY&co and got the dress and a purple top and a pair of shorts. Today was the last day for a 30% off coupon I had, so I'm glad I went.
