Wow!

Thanks for sharing! You seem to be right where I was a week ago! When I stopped to think about it, it wasn't only one area I messed up in (eating like a cow!), it was a bunch of areas, all at once!

Take a deep breath...one thing at a time...you can do this! You've come so far!

Hi QT, I second Dede's comment, thanks for sharing !

You know (here I go), you may just be putting a lot of pressure on yourself. Like "I have all of this and that lined up, so why am I not just perfect ?" type of thing. Sometimes it's not just about all the right lineup and so on.

Do you eat out of anxiety and nervousness ? Maybe things going well makes you nervous (I don't know you, so I apologize for my stabs in the dark) and therefore you eat to control the possible downfall that things going well might turn into (did that make any sense ?).

Anyway, you can do it. Just one meal and one day at a time. This is my second day in restart, so, we are doing to together !

Cheers,

Thanks DeDe and Karli....

no offense taken on the 'stabs in the dark'.....

I don't know what it is. I don't eat from nerves, i eat from boredom. which still sounds ridiculous cuz i've been super busy. yesterday i found myself not doing anything but thinking about what i should eat. then i stopped and asked myself 'are you even hungry?' the answer was no... but still kept thinking about food, and ended up ordering chinese. i eat because it tastes good. not because i like how i feel, or because i'm hungry, or because i'm sad (although i do do that at times) but mainly just because i like how it tastes.

i've even gone as far as on program, i would take bites of things i saw and chew it up, and spit it out, just for the taste. I told Terrance that, and he was like 'don't tell anyone you do that'. Um, why? I jsut wanted to taste it. I didn't consume it, so what? okay, i've been on the 'consume' track for a while now. time to 'derail' :)

thanks for the encouraging comments. Us 're-starters' will get this right this time, huh? :)

so i've been cruising the forum all day... getting ready for my 3rd meal.

i've been thinking about all the good things about MF... (trying to block out the thoughts of going to Taco Bell for lunch :x )

I did Medifast from Oct 10-Nov 5. In that time, I lost 16 lbs. AWESOME. Here were the other benefits (just to keep reminding myself):

- I received a lot of compliments
- My skin cleared up, even around TOM
- My nails got super strong/long
- My water intake was CRAZY (i think that contributed to the previous 2)
- I wasn't tired all the time
- I knew I was doing something good for me

Okay... now the reasons to keep strong:

- I want more compliments!!!!!! ( i know, a little vain and selfish, but i liked that!)
- clear skin
- fit into the bajillion clothes i already have
- feel comfortable around Terrance... no, not comfortable, to feel SEXY. (that's better)
- planning on going to San Diego in January.... want to realllllllly look good around friends i haven't seen in over a year.
- long-term: BIKINI IN MAY. :)

I'm sure i could come up with more.... just a start off the top of my head.

that's it for now.... just wanted to get that out where i could see it!

QT, you are smart to put some goals down. I think that can be very helpful at certain times for the right person.

I don't think it's bad to want more compliments (though of course, you may not always get the ones you truly deserve -- so you have to be able to live without them, too). It confirms your awareness of who you are, and, well frankly, I think that's part of what we are all doing here together (on planet Earth, I mean. We could have all had our very own planet... *daydreams* :-P ... hee hee. Well, maybe some people think they *do* have their very own planet... hee hee).

Keep up the great work. I am thinking about you today :).

Day one of restart down... no cheating! Yea for me!

So i updated my ticker this morning, and apparently i've only gained 4 lbs back!! I don't know how accurate that is. Last night ( i know worse time to weigh) it said 226 :( i was kinda bummed, that's 8 lbs up, but what i expected. And it is the end of TOM. But this morning when i woke up though, it was at 222. I got on the scale about 4 different times to make sure, and it stayed at 222, so that's what i'm using!

i set a mini goal for myself that i would get down to 210 by Xmas.... that's 12 lbs. I think that's doable.... Then my next goal will be ONEDERLAND by end of January when I plan on going to SD.

Last time I started MF, i had major headache day 2.... i have a slight headache now, but am about to take some aleve. Also i had the peach oatmeal this morning and yuck! i'm about to do do a thread in lean cuisine for help!!! I managed to get it down, knowing that i'll be looking forward to my chicken noodle soup in a few hours :)

So to keep reminding myself: 12 #s in 26 days is .46# a day.... or 3.43 #s a week. That should be easy! I should make a goal chart:

11/29: 222
12/3: 220
12/10:216
12/17:213
12/24:210

That's a good estimate, i think. If i lose more, then GREAT! But i think this is realistic. I should make this chart printable and hang it at my desk and at home as a reminder of my goal..... hmmmm.... (can you tell it's slow this morning at work? :) )

okay, i'll guess i'll write more later.....

Congrats for getting back on track!!! I love the chicken noodle soup too. It requires minimal doctoring. I just add a "snort" (hhehhehhee Nancy language!) of hot pepper sauce.

Onto Day 3.... going strong!

My headache came on strong last night and i woke up twice in the night and it still hurt... but this morning it's gone!! YAY.

Got on the scale this morning.... 221!! it even said 220 at one point, (i must've got on it 30 times this morning) but it was pretty steady at 221. I reallllllllly need a scale that counts the ounces as well. Mine is pretty old, digital, but only gives whole numbers. That's okay.... i'll have to ask santa aka terrance for one :)

I don't know if my dinner was 100% compliant last night.... but it was good! :) i had a chicken breast that measured out to 6 ozs cooked. I had used the mccormick chick parmesan seasoning pack and coated chick breast w/ it and baked for 20 minutes, but one spoon of chunky ragu on it, and a sprinkle of lf mozz cheese (not even an oz worth). It was really good. My veggies was sliced zucch, portabella mushroom, and red onion w/ seasoning on it..... YUMMY. Might try to get smaller chicken breast and serve over a small serving of shirataki noodles next time for 'semi' chicken parmesan. that would be good w/ small green salad.

ANYWHO.... Ready to see the scale going down down down..... that's motivation! :) I'll check back in later..... gotta do some work!

well... i've been pretty busy today... that made it easy to stay on plan. Except for the guys eating reeses peanut butter cups in front of me... :( I told them they suck :) I'm in an office w/ mostly males.... the other 3 females that do work here are on shifts, so the times that there are more than one of us here at a time is rare. And the men i work with don't have any weight issues. (mostly military) So they don't get it. That's okay, it's not their issue to get, it's mine.... they all say i look fine, but of course they are going to say that! They don't have any one else to look at all day, ha ha ha ha. J/K

So i'm about to get outta here.... i'll check back in tonight. So far i've had:

Strawberry Shake
Chili
Oatmeal

I'm about to have another shake, then my L&G and then pudding... OH how could i forget!!! Last night i made a vanilla pudding w/ sf rasberry syrup. YUCK! My daughter wants to eat it cuz it's PINK!! I took about 3 bites, and put it back in the fridge. NOT GOOD> I'll stick to vanilla! Although i would like to get some butterscotch syrup to try in it..... i havent' found any in the stores here. Okay, that's all for now....

Thanks for checking on me.... I'm not doing too good :(

I did good for the first 4 days, and had great intentions for day 5, but we had a holiday party, and i ate chicken wings, and chex mix, and a small piece of cake. :( then we were running around like crazy (my mom, daughter and i) and it was super late and we just went through McD's for convenience and had a fish sandwich :( anyway, woke up Sunday ready to get back on track, and realized i didn't have enough MF products to make it through the whole week, and i'm not able to purchase more til the 7th... sooooooo i'm not doing it right now.... so i'm going to try to be very mindful of what i'm eating and try not to gain til i can get back on track (hopefully next week) With the holidays, money is tight, so i wasn't able to order in time. BUT i will be ordering this week, and back on again 100% when i'm all stocked up...

I really appreciate you (DeDe and Karli) checking on me... thanks! kinda bummed that i don't have MF supplies, but will be back on track soon....
