Qdoba or Chipotle

Postby disney..lover » February 27th, 2006, 11:42 am

I have a question, can I have for my L+G meal a naked chicken burrito???
I can have it with only chicken or meat and veggies, lettuce, tomatoes, and no cheese or anything else.

I would be so easy and it is very tasty.

Hey there disneylover --

I'm not certain what a naked burrito is ... I have a couple of latin friends that I could certainly dream would be ......... oh - but I digress .... LOL

Anyways .... as long as what you are preparing falls within the L&G guidlines:

7 ounces of chicken prepared with no oil. Salt, pepper, herbs and spices. You may also use 1 – 2 teaspoons of condiments such as barbecue sauce.

I think you'd be okay with lettuce tomatoes peppers onions as your veggie portions. All of those veggies used to be okay last time I was on this. If not, someone will come by and correct it for me. Definitely no cheese though, bummer.

Hey - if it turns out okay - post the recipe on the lean cuisine section so we can all get a taste!

now back to my day dream ..........

This is also posted in the Lean and Green section. Chipotle and Qdoba are fast-food chains (healthier fast food, though). As I said over there, in theory it's fine but I don't think their portions are large enough (not enough protein OR vegetables in one of their "naked burritos," which is a burrito without the tortilla).

Yeah, I'd agree. That doesn't seem like that much food for the price you are paying. I'd rather hop into Subway and get a salad with turkey or chicken and load up on the vegetables I want. Usually a salad from there is enough. Then again, I have only ever seen Chipotles' burritos adn they look huge, but that was with rice adn all that extra bean-y stuff. I can't imagine when you take that stuff out the volume is so big....

Sidrah

You are my hero! You are able to go into Subway during weight loss! Man I have to tell you I went into Subway once since I started the program and I have banned it at least till I am at goal. The smell in that place is heavenly! I swear I wanted to jump the counter and dig right into that bread! You are one strong woman :weightlift:
