Propel

Postby Jan » July 25th, 2005, 7:11 pm

Hi There,
I would say you will give up most of your propel. If a serving is 8oz and has 2grams of sugar and 10 calories that makes 16 grams of sugar and 80 calories in 64 oz. Hmmm more sugar than a shake and almost the same number of calories without any of the benefits -- protein, vitamins etc. So 64 oz of propel is most likely not a good idea. Try crystal light -- it's fine. We'll see what Nancy says.

last diet

Postby Bonnie » July 27th, 2005, 5:48 pm

Dear last Diet, I too have a hard time drinking water. So as you will soon find out - there will be many sprints :runner: to the restroom. So while you are there paying a visit , drink a full glass of water and you will be surprized at how much water you will get down.

As we are having a Heat Wave, I started brewing Ice Tea and putting Spenda in it and it tastes pretty good.

I also like a diet Rootbeer in my vanilla shake blended in ice for a milkshake effect. Try it - you will like it...... :D :D

I too started drinking propel a while back when I gave up all carbonated beverages...I love the mock crystal light from wal-mart...it's super cheap, tons of flavors, and I switched my whole family to it rather than soda and kool-aid. No one misses it! Hmmm, Im giving up propel now too, but Ill be fine!

I like mixing club soda or sparkling water with Torani SF syrups. I like black cherry the best. No reason you couldn't flavor your plain water with SF fruit syrups to taste like Propel.

I too was a Propelaholic. I used to supplement my water for propel, same amount as you. I realized that I needed to reduce how much I was having (besides the cost $$$)
I eventually worked my way to having 1 a day. Then I started getting those Crystal light on the go packets to add to my water. I switched to those for my one a day. Now I have at least 4 bottles of pure water and one with the crustal light. After that I have a coffee and thats about it.
Always try to get in at least 64 oz of pure water (nothing added) to best clear out all of that junk that your shrinking fat cells leave behind.
