Well I must say I have learned a lot about myself through this little challange and the biggest one being....I need to weight every day to be accountable. I had set myself up for a spiral of downhill events that damaged my progress.

With that being said I will just say that I weighted myself yesterday and after being offline plan for most of the month I gained 5.5 pounds. I have to say it felt good (being off plan). I was so frustrated and eating off plan a little over day. So finally I went off completly, I ate what I wanted for 2 days. I had planned to stay off through my vacation and get back on track when I got home. But after 2 days completely off plan, I wanted back on!

So yesterday was the first day, it went really well, TOTALLY COMPLIANT...yeah for me...not to say it wasn't hard and I wasn't grouchy a few times during the day. I am proud to announce that I lost 3 pounds yesterday! Boy, was I happy to see that, I told myself I would be happy with 2.

I have three more days to be compliant and detox myself before going on vacation to see my parents. They have a huge garden and a fruit orchard. should be interesting to see how I do. Blackberrys are my weakness up there, not to mention peaches and apricots.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Start Weight 326.7 ~ My short term goal will put me at 250!

Started June 19th 2008. First Mini Goal 76.7 pounds.

congrats, Sharon! I had come to the same conclusion regarding the accountability. I desperately need it. I think I've lost 13 total pounds since school got out. I was hoping for 20-25, but I didn't stick to the program.

Good luck with the fresh fruit at your parents place!!! Every time I walk past it, I tell myself "next summer." I can't believe in all the splurging I've done, I didn't have any fruit!! It's what I miss most!!

Congrats on your 3 lbs. Here's to many more! :buddies:

Okay--I am still committed to not weighing, but the accountability to the little metal/plastic/digital beast is important.

I had to check myself because I was so close to the 20 lb. club-and today I was 187...to equal 20 pounds lost! I'm happy to be in that club...but it probably should have been more as I have been on and off compliant during the last 2 weeks.

Onward and downward!

Aoha Cate is Down

Postby alohacate » August 14th, 2006, 1:38 pm

I am weak. Yes, yes I weighed myself Saturday. I found the scale when I was cleaning the closet (where my hubby hid it). I slid onto the cool surface and felt the elation when I realized I was down 8 pounds! *YAY* I've been on the sucker every day since. I tried - really, *sigh* I'm weak.

Well, so far I have made it without the scale weigh thing!
I do know that my clothes feel better upon my body and this shopping in my closet is coming to a close since most of the things that I have are getting too big! WOOHOO!!! Onward ho!

Ok so let's update. Everyone who said they'd do this, how are you doing?

I'm weighing daily again. I just couldn't do it. I need my little white square of motivation. On the plus (or minus!) side, I've lost 8 pounds since we weighed in. YAY! I'm also in a smaller pants size than I was 8 pounds ago.

I AM 155!!! OMG!!!
I knew that the clothes were fitting differently and patients at work were making comments to me about my baggie scrubs....but then again, scrubs are baggie......anyway....
I am happy and am making high 5's for myself!!!
I just had to share!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » August 25th, 2006, 7:58 am

I'm still here. Not weighing until September first. Just seeing if I can do it. It's good for me. Had a few days running willy nilly and my promise not to weigh is helping me not get down about it and get back on track. Don't know, don't want to know, just getting back on program and continuing!
