Possible change in goal weight?!?

Postby TonyR » December 16th, 2006, 10:11 pm

I have been thinking a lot lately that my goal weight of 200 lbs just isn't enough. As of this morning I am only 6 pounds away from goal and I still feel that I need to lose more!! I was thinking possibly dropping it down to 190, but just not too sure. I have been lifting some weights to get rid of some flab from 134 pounds lost, but I still have a spare tire that I want gone!!!!

You are just shrinking away. Not remembering your height (guessing) but you should still be just fine at that weight. Not that anybody is worried.
According to BMI, I can be 179 and thats the high range. I still think that chart is messed up. ;)

Go get 'em, Tony!! I was wondering if you might decide to continue. Have you checked the BMI chart?

I wonder if body firming lotion works just as well on male skin as it seems to on female skin -- and you're in the right age group... hmmmm

I know how you feel Tony, although I was much further away when I made the decision. I decided to hit the top end of my Healthy BMI. 177 or so. I am anxiously awaiting that point, although it is hard for me to believe that it is 62 lbs away from where I am now. I love this program.

Well I am 5'10" and the BMI chart top range says like 169 or something like that. I know I don't want to get down that low, but we shall see. I think I will change it. Maybe it will make me lose quicker now that I am changing it!!

I'm with Tony and bdg.... my initial goal is 240, then I will see if I decide to go lower. Eventually I know I will have to have my flab removed... it won't reabsorb. However, I'm eventually gona have no muffintops...

Actually, I really think there is something to that !! I know it has happened for me. I am considering changing my "goal weight" to lower than what I actually want to be for that very purpose (and then changing it back once I hit where I really want to be)... it just seems to change something for me mentally and I think that matters.

Cheers, you are doing so awesomely !!

That's got to be cheating in some rule book somewhere.... ;)

Then again, I say if it works, who cares.....

Actually, honey, as you should know, in the education field, that's called OVERLEARNING. Very common and effective practice in that arena! And, really, is it any different than Mom setting all the clocks 10 minutes fast to try to help herself be punctual??

Yeah, but if I know I am going to change it to make it go quicker then wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose because I can't jip my body into losing?!?! LOL

But, since she knows she sets it ahead, she leaves 10 minutes later also. ;)
