PMS

Postby want2Bthin » April 20th, 2005, 10:48 am

I have a question for the ladies.

I have been on the program for 42 days. I have always suffered from PMS but this time it is WAY worse.

I am very cranky :x and I don't like it one bit.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am desperate and I imagine my hubby is too! :D

Estrogen is stored in fat, and as you release all that fat, you're releasing estrogen too. Drink a lot of water, maybe take some aleve to ward off any cramps, and just calm yourself. It will go away! I think the first month is really the worst for that kind of stuff, so you just kind of have to accept that it's happening and work through it. I had a MAJOR estrogen release about a month on program, but it hasn't happened again. Everything is nice and regular now and you will be too!

Sorry... I don't mean to highjack your post, but I have another related question for the experts.
How careful do I need to be with birth control while using this stuff? I know I need to be EXTRA careful, but I'm really nervous about that.

I have a very irregular cycle due to my weight. In the past it has been so bad that my OB/GYN would give me medication to jumpstart my monthly visitor because it had been so long since I was "visited". However, I was visited and I was only 2 weeks late which is amazing! My cramps were terrible and I was more irritable than ever! :x

Oh, to answer your question, not just to babble about my hard times.....
I think it is always good to strenuously practice birth control if you are not interested in having babies at the moment. But as an extra bit of caution, I have read that rapid weight loss on MF can cause increased fertility! So slap a helmet on that soldier or whatever it is that you do to take care of yourself!@
