PMS and Cravings

Postby macielnv » April 26th, 2006, 3:23 pm

Hi there-
Tomorrow will be the end of week 5 for me and Im down almost 20 lbs. Well, this week I am extremely hungry. It feels like day 1 all over again. Im sticking with the plan so the only thing I can think of is PMS- I always get real "munchy."

Any suggestions? Im determined to see the 20# loss tomorrow.

Hi Carly,

Yup, Aunt Flo throws a lot of wrenches at me...I'm hungrier than usual, I just scarf down my bar and my body starts yelling "I want SALTY CRUNCHIES NOW!!!"

I KNOW you can get through it and you'll be in the 20# club SOON!!!!

You can get through Aunt Flo! I know it!

You can always space your meals closer together and have the allowed snacks, that should help. Maybe make some cookies with the oatmeal. :)

UGH! IM going crazy. Today is even worse than yesterday as far as the hunger and cravings. It seems like I just want to pop EVERYTHING in my mouth today and Im starving. I havent been this hungry since day 1 and I probably didnt notice the PMS symptoms last time because it was my first week.
I already had my 2 pickle slices and 80 oz of water with another 20 or 40 more to go for my normal consumption. It was all I had to drive right by all the fast food places today while out and about.

Im sooo determined to see that 20 pound loss, I dont want to cheat but Im having a really hard time today.

getting over cravings

Postby guest » April 27th, 2006, 7:01 pm

Chew gum
Go for walk
Find distractions-house projects, reading, work...
Celery stix w/ salsa or salt is salty-crunchy
Drink lots more water
Have an extra shake to quell the hunger pains if they're too much

Keep reminding yourself how well you've done.
Keep reminding yourself how well you're going to continuing doing
Keep reminding yourself how awesome you'll look and feel when you reach goal

You can do it!

Hey Carly...I've found that when I have a hungry week, and stick to program, I have a better loss at weigh in time. I don't know why, but it always seems to work that way for me. Hope that encourages you to stick it out :)

These are the times when we have to tell our body what it will eat instead of our body telling us what it wants to eat! I'm still mastering this principal, but gaining ground!!!

You're doing great! Hang in there!

I'm glad I found this post. I feel like this today. I just ate my oatmeal, and I'm still feeling that hunger pang even though my tummy has food in it! I am a week and two days til my tom _might_ (it has a mind of it's own :() arrive so I figured that was the problem, but ow! stop it already! hehe. At least I thought ahead and brought a chocolate shake, a caramel nut bar, and maple syrup oatmeal :) mmm chocolate. It's still annoying though :)
