Platau (sp) anyone?

I have hit a platau. This is the one I have hit before. Any suggestions other than just stick to the program??

Lost 50 pounds last year and maintained...struggling with the last 25.

Depeding on how long it's been, there are some things you can do to shake things up a bit. If it's only been a few/several days, then yes, I think "just stick to the program" is the best option, and try a nice walk (if you haven't been). I am not a plateau expert, though. So, hopefully other people will come along and comment.

If it's going to be "just stick with the program," you can take this time to really focus on other areas of your life. Really, our weight is not something we should need to be constantly worried about and thinking about, and that in turn frees us up to think about and put energy into other aspects of who we are (and good training for maintenance land).

I have read in other post if you just drink shakes that could help. Mabye not eat the bars or the soy crisps.

But before you go trying to change anything, how long have you been stuck? And are you truly stuck or just losing more slowly?

I'm in my 3rd week and I lost 1.5lbs this week however getting on the scale this am shows I'm up .5 so i think i'm in plateau mode right now so be it I have lost 19lbs thus far so I'm ok with this! I have this addiction to the chocolate mint bars so I might lay off those for a week or so to keep my body burning!

If you are losing at all, it is NOT a plateau. If you've been at the same weight for a week or so, it is NOT a plateau. If you have lost nothing at all for three weeks or more, you're hit a plateau.
