It is always best to allow your doctor to determine how often and for how long to continue to monitor their patient's weight loss program.
My doctor was totally unfamiliar with Medifast and really not willing to study or to read much about it. I have continued to supply her with information and she looks forward to watching my lab work, my weight maintenance and she is totally impressed.
It is very important to follow the guidelines and to become familiar with the products and the program. It is important to not make shortcuts because when we do, we are truly shortcutting our health.
If we do not get enough food, yes, our weight loss can slow down. That's why I suggested she have another packet. Exercise can also create a stall - if a person is on the complete program, and they exercise, they need more packets. Exercise can wait. There is a lot of time for it once a person reaches a healthy weight.
There are sometimes other factors that affect weight loss, too - people with thyroid disease or who take medications for thyroid, diabetes, anti-depressants and people who have yo-yo dieting pasts can be metabolically resistant.
