Aug. 5, 2006 – Another GREAT day!! All my kids and some of their friends came over to make my backyard into a bug lover’s paradise. It looks so magical I can’t wait to see the look on Nasias face when she sees it tomorrow. It was so great having everyone pitch in today. Some of my kid’s friends don’t even know our other family. I am so grateful for their love and support. They must have some GREAT parents to be such great kids.

I am so thankful for my medifast friends. I’m almost overwhelmed by all the love and support being sent my way. I am truly blessed.

I have been 100% compliant today and although I did not do any formal or organized exercise, I really got a heck of a work out. It seems like the only time I sat down was to eat my L&G (it is 11:30pm and we have been at it since 8:00am). Those offspring of mine really keep me hopping. If I had not lost the weight I have already lost I would not have nearly the energy or ability to do what we are doing.

I am really looking forward to having a great day tomorrow celebrating Nasia’s birthday and spending the day with my family.

More tomorrow …..

I'll be thinking of you today, PJ. Good luck with the party! I'm sure seeing the kids having fun will do your heart good, even if it IS painful at the same time.

Enjoy the bugs!

Aug. 6, 2006 - Today was great! Maybe beyond great!! It was very, very busy this morning making last minute preparations for the party but the payoff was more than we could have expected. We had the back yard and pool area all decorated. It looked like a bug fairy land. I closed the doors and blinds to so no one could see anything until the doors were opened. When Nasia (the birthday girl) saw it, she was speechless. She just couldn't believe her eyes. We were all very happy with her response. Her parents were happy and relieved. It has been very tough for her without her big sister. Everyone had a great time.

I did not stay on plan today. I had a small piece of birthday cake and some watermelon. However, I sent all remaining goodies home with the guests. No leftovers in my house to tempt me during the night or tomorrow. I still had all my MF meals and drank more water then I usually do because it was pretty hot outside today. I will back to 100% tomorrow.

Thanks for thinking about me Robin. I really appreciate your support and kind words.

More tomorrow …

I wouldn't give the cake and watermelon another thought, PJ. What's done is done, and under the circumstances, you did incredibly well. I'm so glad the party was a big success. Your family certainly deserves some happiness.

Aug. 7, 2006 – I am so thankful for all the supprt I get from the MF forum. I would not still be on the program with it. Thanks a bunch Alex, Robin and Ark for thinking about me. I really appreciate it.

I started my period during the night and feel like a big, bloated, cramping, cow. I am back on track with the program and am drinking lots of water. It is a good thing I sent all the sweets and treats home with our guests yesterday because I would have eaten them all if they were here. The birthday cake was chocolate with whip cream filling and butter cream frosting. I would have eating the whole thing if it was here. It is a good thing I have the chocolate RTD’s because they calm my chocolate cravings.

I am still going to swim today, cramps or no cramps I need to get some exercise. I also have a new yoga dvd and am going to try it for the first time tonight. I used to do yoga when I was in my 20’s and I enjoyed it so I think this will help get me into some sort of routine exercise routine.

More later…

Good for you on the yoga!! And the chocolate pudding's good for cravings, too. I make it with raspberry Crystal Light instead of water. Mmmmm.

Aug. 9, 2006 – Feeling down today. I have so much weight to lose it gets me down every once in a while. I am not giving up but I wish I could lose the weight as easily as I gained it. My projections have me on this program until June 2007 to make my goal.

At the beginning of this program I went though my closet and sorted & containerized all the items by size. I was like being in the store! I have items in sizes from 30 down to 14, 3X to M. Anyway, I started running out of clothes that fit so I am having great fun trying on “new” clothes in my own closet. Everything that is too big is going right to the donation boxes. I am so happy to be able to fit into the smaller sizes. Even though I don’t see the weight loss, I know I have lost because of this try-on exercise.

I tried the yoga DVD yesterday and today. It is going to take me a while to get back in the groove but I really do enjoy doing it. I even remembered most of the poses. I think, along with some walking, I should be able to get into a regular routine. At some point I will add weights because my arms need a lot of work! I hope I get the exercise bug like Robin…she is my hero : )

Wow PJ, you're amazing. I absolutely LOVE Buca Di Beppo! I don't know if I could go there and not have tons of bread and stuff. Thankfully, the closest one to me is in Sacramento. But Holy Moly, you did great -- you ARE a rock!

That's a great idea about organizing your closet by size. A couple of months ago while my sister was visiting, she asked to borrow some jeans and a T-shirt...we went into my closet, where I have everything from size 7 junior to 1X, and she exclaimed, "Wow, this is just like being in a store!" I was able to outfit her and her skinny teenaged daughter!

Have fun with the yoga and weights (Robin's my hero, too!), and keep on keepin' on...

Aug. 10, 2006 - Thanks Sojourner, I love the atmosphere at Buca and the food is just amazing! It is a great birthday place because when they sing happy birthday, they get everyone in the place to sing! It is great like that especially if you are not such a great birthday song singer

I hear you on the closet thing. The really funny thing was some of the clothes that I would NEVER wear even if they did fit. What the heck was I holding on to them for? Sadly some of them still had the tags on them so I hope someone else finds them useful (I donated tons of stuff already).

You are doing so great on the program! I have been watching your posts. I have a god daughter named Sojourner and you just don't see that name very often  Have a great week!

Your goddaughter's REAL name is Sojourner? This is just my "forum name," my real name is Sandy. ;) Which sounds SO completely plain now. In my first post, as a guest, I explained that I have only had a weight problem for the past several years and now that I'm committed to getting the heck out of Fatville, I will treat my time there as nothing more than a temporary, though extended, stay. That is pretty much the definition of a sojourn, hence the name choice.

As a REAL name it's pretty cool! Beats the heck outta' Sandy!
