Not sure where to even start since it has been quite a while and far too much has happened...I will say I am SO SO SO happy to see friends here doing SO well

A tiny update I guess - I did make the trip to NM in the beginning August to see my Mom but instead of a visit, we moved here! My daughter and I arrived on Aug 2 and my DH about a month later drove out from the east coast. My daughter and I lived with my Mom and took care of her and then moved to a place to live on our own. I got my daughter enrolled in kindergarten and then my sister and I took care of my Mom for 24hr periods which was a lot of juggling and we did that until 10/12...my Mom went into a hospice facility on Sat 10/13 and she passed away this past Sunday - 11/04. Last week and this week were the hardest and I know the holidays ahead will be difficult. She will be buried next to my Dad in Chicago (my oroginal home) and my brother will have a service there with some close family on Monday 11/19. It is a very very hard thing losing a mother...but she is safe now.

I still have some products and want to get back into it. I am home right now since I lost my job right after I came here and have some unemployment until I can find something here. It is very beautiful here (itis called "Land of Enchantment!) and some adjusting with the warm(er) temps

I look forward to becoming re-acquainted with everyone!

Sorry to hear about your mother. take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering. as much as we would like to keep them here with us always, we also know that in the case of sickness sometimes, other roads are more comfortable for the sick. God bless you and your family...

Hello friends -

Needed sometime to deal with my Mom's death and now into the holidays

But I won't wait until after the New Year to get back on track. I thought it would be easier but then realized I just needed the grieving period though honestly I will always be grieving. Miss her so much...

So just coming back to the fold and enjoying the reading and look forward to saying Hi to some old and new friends!

Welcome back Patty! Restarting is difficult most of the time, but just do it minute by minute and you'll get back into ketosis.

WOW - finally been able to get on here

SO happy to see all the posts and thank you all so much for your support!

I did get back on track 3 weeks ago and have been doing great! I had to drop the excuses and just move forward.

Everyone is doing so well and I look forward to getting back into the fold

Just a few little notes...uh, where's the AVATAR??? Lizabette? DO YOU SEE THIS? and...i notice your ticker says 22lbs lost. Shouldn't you be in the 20# club? Ask for what is due! You've worked HARD for this. You've been thru a lot of trying times, you deserve it!
