Partial NSV

Postby VictoriousNat » November 10th, 2006, 8:13 am

Hey gang!

Just wanted to share. I have been struggling through the month of October barely hanging on --- with changes at work and problems with family and home and a very cranky DH. So I did not weigh for 3 weeks out of fear, but I continued to measure myself. When I did weigh - it seems like I was losing the same 3 pounds. Nevertheless, this week I made some changes that jolted my body a bit and I have started losing again.

ANYWHO, yesterday I had to join my ex boss for dinner with my current boss and two colleagues. I wanted to look nice, of course. So I went to Saks on my lunch break and guess what!?? The suits I tried on were size 18 and they FIT!!!! When I started I wore a size 24 suit (boxy cuts - ick!)and on one of them the last button could not button!!!  I am so excited. The suit jackets fit me so divinely as most of them were fitted and not big boxy types, but the skirt on two suits were very close fit - they zipped up and all but you could see my muffin top and me no like that. I got one of the suits and got some compliments on it. I also tried on 1x sweaters just for the heck of it and all fit quite nicely. The sweaters in my closet now are 3X (loose fit) and 2X. Wish I had some more cash so I could get some 1Xs. But in time, when they go on sale.

But y'all I am so excited that even in my struggle I am making progress. God is so good to me and so is MF and all of you! Smooches and thanks for listening.

ETA(edited to add): Very swanky restaurant. I had a successful L&G...small mixed green salad as appetizer and some kind of baked mediterranean sea bass with 3 steamed baby bok choy and about 4 string beans chopped up. I asked for the tamarind curry sauce on the side. Yum! I passed on dessert, but did accept a thin slice of 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch cheese from the new lawyer on our team.
