No criticism here. And no really useful advice, either. I'm the one who left the program after I took up running. I know some people seem to be able to do lots of intense exercise without increasing their calories, but I can't (and was advised not to by a cardiologist, a nurse practitioner in cardiology AND a dietitian).

I hate to say it, but for now, you may have to choose: Medifast or running. Of course, choosing running doesn't mean you have to go hog-wild and start eating junk and candy and stuff; it can also mean something as simple as adding another L&G - or a regular protein shake, rather than a Medifast shake, to your day.

How odd it must seem to find that you need more food, huh? My problem is that as soon as I exercise in any form that elicits perspiration I think I must need more food. Pretty much any excuse to eat.

I am glad you are moving ahead, losing again, and feeling good. Keep in mind what is most important to you when the weekend comes. I know firsthand how hard it is to keep making good choices 100% of the time - or even eighty percent - when you start feeling really good and looking good. Just remember, you can do even better. Somebody said that 'good' is the enemy of 'best' or something like that. Keep shooting for best!!

What are the ready-to-drink shakes? Are they like the 55 or the 70?

I feel, from just reading your posts, that you are really on the road to embracing permanent change. Sounds like you are working hard to get in activity, and you're enjoying it, and I hope you are going to get all the way to your goal and be one of the successul maintainers. Even if you end up going off program because you want to increase your activity, I hope you will always be here to offer advice to others. You are a great influence and support here.

Dancing and outdoor hiking, what wonderful ways to get in the activity. I have to confess I just now figured out your "name". I feel so silly now!

I have a TERRIBLE time with Advil; it causes so much bloat that it throws off my electrolytes. I can't take it anymore.

Have you tried any of the flavor infusers? They have some caffeine and maybe the next TOM you could try those. I usually stick with Midol b/c of the caffeine and it doesn't have ibuprofen.

I'm sorry Shane is being the devil on your shoulder. It is so hard to do it alone, I know. It would be great if my husband would do this again with me - but I harbor no illusions. Even if he were doing MF, I would have these same mental and emotional issues keeping me fat. But still, I know he's put back on about 20 pounds of what he lost last fall/winter. It's so unhealthy to be up and down and up and down. Not that I'm one to talk. But still.

Enjoy your fun on Thursday. I know you'll get right back on because that's what you truly want. Sounds like Shane wants you to go off because he's feeling guilty about being off alone. I know that feeling VERY well. He might come around or he might not - but I'm sure that you staying on plan will be a good example and motivator for him in the long run. Good luck!

Keep up the good work! By all means have a beer or two at the concert! I hope it goes better than when he was in Dallas-it was pretty much rained out and he has to come back at a later date! I am sorry your husband is trying to derail your efforts. Mine was too terribly supportive, but once he saw how committed I was he, we haven't had any problems. He's not on the program with me, but he eats the same thing for dinner as I do. Have fun shopping as well! I just gave my grandmother three pairs of my 20s to take in about 2 or 3 inches!

Hey Leigh! It's your favorite not-on-planner who is now on plan! How are you doing? Now that I'm back more often your absence is conspicuous to me. I miss your cheering. Come back!

I totally understand the Disney thing. We're going again in August for a week and I have no intention of being on plan during that time. I just hope to contain the damage and get right back on (although my secret weapon is going back to work - I know I can do it there even if I have a hard time getting back on the horse immediately after Disney).

You will have that 10 off in no time - water weight FLIES off once you're on plan (over 10 pounds gone for me already and it's only day 3 - I keep stepping on the scale waiting for reality to set in and the numbers to slow down...) and you know how to do it!

Glad to have you back. :D How's Shane doing?
