One Month Down, 31 pounds GONE

Postby Carbshateme » September 19th, 2005, 4:51 am

How I love my Medifast...

In one month, I have broken TWO blenders, found my cheekbones, started to learn to eat for FUEL and not for FUN, made a lot of new friends around here, and lost 31 pounds. I am one hap-happy girl!

I realllllly wanna get to 200 by the first of the year! I'm gonna hand out toys to my Trick or Treaters from Oriental Trading -- much better than last year where I sat on my sofa with a bowl 'o "FUN SIZE" brightly-wrapped death and ate myself into a sugar coma!

:bounce: 31 lbs is an amazing 1st month! Wowie!!! CONGRATULATIONS!

I really like your idea about handing out toys instead of candy. I think I might have to join you and reduce the amount of sugar this house has for Halloween this year.

Thank you all so much for the support!

Kim, you are GORGEOUS! I just saw your pics this weekend and you look fantastic!

Things you can give out other than candy (And kids get so much candy, I really doubt they'll gripe! I LOVE HALLOWEEN. And, as sad as it is, I LOVE Halloween candy. It's like crack cocaine to me :( I love the shiny orange and black wrappers, I love the orange and black M&M's, I love it all. Even more than Christmas candy! So, no candy for me. I am gonna make my kids HIDE their loot)

Granola Bars
Stickers
Toothbrushes!
Little toys
Vampire teeth
Popcorn balls
McDonalds gift certificates
Quarters :)

i hear ya on the "fun size" candy. i live in the boonies and i have like 2 trick or treaters and i would buy like 3 bags of candy that i like, they would be gone in 2-3 days---sad huh!

anyway, good for you on the loss-i think you are well on your way to 200 by january 1

take care

LOL Leann.. I would start buying candy in early September and buy like ten bags when we rarely have 20 kids. That would all be gone in like a week. AND THEN I would buy it for half-price the day after Halloween. :( I'm not joking!

WOW - great job Carbs!!!!

You are doing so great - and it'll just get better.

Great idea for the Halloween treats - we have a 5th grader across the street who has juvenile diabeties - I know he get's bummed about getting candy he can't have. So I'm skipping the candy and getting little trinkets for the kids, their tummies and their teeth will thank me.

Keep posting - I love your posts!
