One Month Anniversary!... Bye Bye 18#

Alrightee then... I can hardly believe it's been a month on MF. Can I just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this program, and Love all of you for your wonderful support, humor and help!

I wasn't sure I'd do my 1 month weigh in, 'cause Aunt Flo comes in the next few days, but I couldn't resist seeing my 1 month totals.

Boy am I glad I did. I'm now down 18,... count them, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,1... WONDERFUL 18 POUNDS!!

There have been so many times when I've put in the work, but still never seen the results. It's so great to find a program where, if you put in the work, look at how great the payoff can be. 18 pounds in 1 month! When I started, I saw how other people had numbers like that, but didn't think "it could happen to me."

So, here we go month #2! Everyone keep up the great work, and forgive me for gushing a little today. It just feels great to be doing something that works, doesn't it? :!:

What a happy post to read on a Monday morning! Yes, me too! Didn't think I'd be 61 pounds lighter in 5 months!!! I knew I would lose weight but not this fast. MF is just da best plan out there! Like you said, all you gotta do is follow it - just do it.

Yup, it's the best I've found and I've enjoyed thinner aspects of myself with greater longevity than usual. It works if you work with it, and working with it is about as easy as it gets. Great job. Glad you're here "losing" with us.

You are young and have so many years ahead of you to look and feel better. I am jealous! I wasted so many years of my life being fat. :|

Nancy- It's so funny, but when I read your comment about being "young", it actually startled me for a minute... "me, young?" It made me think about it, and realize, you're right, I am! Since I've always had this extra weight off and on, I've always felt "old before my time."

Does anyone know what I mean? I've been tired, moved slower, worn "old lady" clothes instead of cute young styles... Well no more... I'm on my way to being done with that! :lol:

worn "old lady" clothes instead of cute young styles...


Well, lemme tell ya, Kid - you don't have to ever wear old lady (or old men for you Gents that are reading this!) clothes again! Ever!

I wear short skirts (usually with fishnet tights, leopard print tights, etc.), jeans and leather pants, off the shoulder shirts, handkerchief hems and anything I want to - all because I can!

Sometimes my 29-soon-to-be-30-year old daughter looks at me with a raised eyebrow when I emerge from the closet but I do not care one bit.

My husband smiles and Unca grins and I sashay off looking and feeling great!
I never have to open a door for myself anymore.

People often do a double-take when I slink by - it's probably because of my outrageous attitude, eh?
Life is to be enjoyed!

Don’t sit in a darkened room with a tub of ice cream in your lap, a pizza box on the coffee table and the TV or a movie screen staring at you – go out and live!
Go to Barnes & Noble or Borders and read the latest mags, sip a cuppa tea or have a Grande Starbuck (with NO whipping cream and none of that sugary stuff – just a Coffee of the Day with a small amount of milk or a tad bit of Medifast Fr Vanilla), go to the mall and window shop – check out what you will be wearing when you reach your goal weight.
Go to Goodwill or Value Village ad try on stuff. When you are there, dump off your old lady stuff for someone else to enjoy.

Visit a friend, read a POSITIVE book!

Learn to play a musical instrument, paint your bedroom an outrageous color and redecorate it. Paint is cheap!

Go to garage sales.

Get out and live it up.

Nancy is an absolute sage - she and Terry are FUN people. They radiate happiness, and it's infectious. I LISTEN and HEED her advice to get out there and live it up!

I know I've said it here before, but IMHO, it's worth repeating. On the subject of being old, my dear Grandmother's priceless advice to me:

:coach: "You are NOT old until you're about 85 or so. THEN you're body starts to wear out. Until then, DON'T waste precious time worrying about being OLD!!!"
