OK, maybe not torture but puhleeeeeze!!

I work for a physician as an office manager and I helped a lady get in to see him sooner than usually possible. Long story, but I made it work.

She came in this afternoon and brings me HOT FROM THE OVEN Chocolate Chip cookies!! OMG!! The smell.....the smell!! She proceeds to tell me she is famous for her cookies and made them especially for me.

I smiled......crying inside , took the bag and told her I'd save them for break. Once she left I took the bag to the office downstairs and said ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!! This was the hardest test I have had since starting Medifast. I love, love, love warm chocolate chip cookies. *sigh*

Someday.....but damn, gotta get in that dress in 16 days!!!!

OK, if that wasn't a test, I don't know what is!!

Wow you're good. I was faced with something similar tonight. Since dh is starting the plan too, he wanted go out to dinner for a last hurrah. He and the kids ordered this massive brownie, icecream volcano...and I had to sit there and watch them eat it. The waitress came over and asked me if I was alright, if I was going to have any...just a little bite. I said, "no...but this is killing me."

But you made it and Dogma is right. That dress is more important. Chocolate chip cookies are not going to become extinct. One day you can have one -- just not today.

It really was the toughest temptation yet, but I imagine there are more ahead of me.

DogMa: You're right, the dress being comfy (I hope) was what kept me strong. I didn't walk for 40 min. on my treadmill this morning to turn around and eat a warm, delicious, mouth watering...oops, sorry...I digress.....cookie.

Good Job Fluffy too! We can resist!!

You did great! I'm not sure I could have done the same. My kids love to have homemade cookies... right now I am having to make ones that don't tempt me. I love chocolate chip...won't be making those for awhile.

Sue, even my husband sends his sympathies. Warm chocolate chip cookies are a major weakness in this household, as well. You have shown true committment to the program in the face of evil foody temptation, and as a result you won't be carrying those cookies with you down the aisle!
