Old Fashion Soda Fountain Chocolate Shake

Postby babiette » May 22nd, 2005, 7:07 am

If you can find Canfield's S/F Chocolate Fudge soda, this is a wonderful way to have your shakes.

Use a really big glass because this will end up with a head on top like a float. Pour a chocolate shake over ice and slowly add about half the can of soda. Stir it a bit and then add the rest of the soda. If you use a partially frozen shake, it's even better.

Babiette ~

This sounds terrific! I haven't seen Sugar Free Canfield's Chocolate Fudge pop for years! I used to make chocolate jello - soften a couple packets of Knox gelatin in a small amount of pop, gradually add the can of pop and heat and stir until the gelatin is all dissolved and then add another can of pop and chill until firm. Weird, huh?

All the Kroger stores near us carry Canfield's. There's also a creme soda and I think strawberry.

Chocolate jello sounds...interesting. I'm not much of a fan of food that wiggles on its own.

I'm not a huge fan of chocolate  (should I clarify?...if it is NOT real chocolate that melts in my mouth I can pass...really...not big on chocolate FLAVORED anything, not a fan of grape flavoring either...but I digress...)

BUT...

this sounds interesting. I have never ever ever in my life heard of chocolate soda! :felix:

We have King Soopers here, they are the same as Krogers right? I will look next time I'm at the store.
