My five year old and I wear the same size shoe. The other day he borrowed a pair of my flip flops because he didn't have any blue ones. "Oh--they are flip flops and they are probably a little big on him anyway", I thought. WRONG!!! Today it rained all day. Poor little guys were so bored. They asked if they could borrow my "High Fashion" shoes (high heels) and dance on the hard floor in the kitchen. "SURE!!" I said. My size 5 1/2 Italian Leather sling back strappy sandals fit my 5 year old son. Since when does a 5 year old wear a size 5 1/2 shoe??? Who knows?? Maybe this time next year, I can wear his jeans!!!

That would be cool, huh. You'd have to shop in his closet!

Yes, and I would probably buy him something other than Wranglers. I don't feel guilty buying my kids new clothes when they need them, but I have yet to buy myself any and I have lost 39 pounds. Talk about saggy bottom!!!

No, still no dress. I decided to wait until the last minute, go out a buy something cheap and make it look FABULOUS with my award winning smile!! HEHEHE! I just can't justify spending big bucks on a dress that I will probably only wear one time. Yes, I spent big bucks on MY wedding dress, and I only wore it one time, but that was different. I went to Fashion Bug the other day. They have some dresses that are similar to the style that I am looking for. I put one on layaway in 3 different sizes. I will go back next week, try them on again, put back the one that is too big, keep the other layed away. Then the next week, go again. Then, the week of the wedding, get the one that fits the best.

They sure do grow fast don't they? My dd is 10 and a short little thing but wears a 7.5 shoe. She keeps asking to borrow my heels. LOL! Ummm no.

That's a good idea about what you're doing at Fashion Bug. I have a similar problem, I need a dressy dress for the end of july...so I bought a dress in Matte Jersey...It'll fit me fine if I shrink more from now until then... but I worry it's not dressy enough.

Go to the fabric store, buy some really nice fabric and make yourself a shawl. Then, wear some ultra nice, but understated jewelry. I really do believe that less is more!!
