I am wondering how I am going to take my shakes with me to work. Do you prepare them ahead of time and just keep them in the refrigerator. Or take the shaker with you to work.

I wonder which would be eaiser and which one would taste better. I have always made powdered shakes in a blender. And I dont think my office mates would be happy if I brought one to my cube and started blending during the day..lol.

Hi,
I take my packets to work (Chocolate) and a shaker cup. I mix it and then pour into my mug and microwave when I want it hot.

If I know I'm going to have a cold shake, I mix it at home in the morning, stick it in the freezer while I shower and get ready then just put it in the fridge at work until time to drink. I like them really cold and they come out better that way.

Hope that helps.

Do you have a break room? I bought a little hamilton beach personal blender for work, holds about 16 oz tops I think it was around $15 @ walmart. I just plugged it in in the break room and leave it there, it has a special lid so that you can drink right from the container.

I have found however that I enjoy the shakes much more when made at home with all my fav extracts and SF syrups so I have been having my shake first thing in the morning then oatmeal, soup, and a bar at work. I do keep a supply of rasp ice tea and cappacino in my drawer in case I end up working late.

I HAVE ONLY USED THE READY TO DRINK SHAKES. WE HAVE A SMALL FRIDGE HERE AT WORK. I LOVE BOTH THE CHOCOLATE AND VANILLA.

I have an office job and I take the shaker jar and my breakroom has a fridge with ice & water! I just put the crushed ice a bit and then add my packet with the water and shake away. I tried to hide the idea of MF, but it is hard when I eat in the breakroom sometimes and my oatmeal smells so good! Hehee!

I work in an office, but my job is pretty flexible. I just bring a week's worth of packets and bars to the office at the beginning of every week and prepare them as I would at home. I just use water and the mix though, so I don't really require a lot of work.

Every 2-3 hours I go to the breakroom and prepare my shakes. I don't really like to advertise the fact that I am on a diet, so I just fill my shaker cup (the 16oz version) with water and take it back to my office to mix the shake. After about two weeks the medifast emblems wore off of the shaker, so everyone just thinks it's a normal water cup.

I usually eat in my office, but I can see how it would be a bit harder if you work in a cubicle.

I work in an office too but I just take my shaker jar and mix and then fill up the shaker jar at the water cooler to the 8oz level and shake away and drink it like that. I find that having the shakes and a bar a work works for me pretty well then I have the hot stuff at night. I am going to have to order some stuff soon or all I will have left is the soup and oatmeals which ugghhh I don't like at all hehe.

I used to mix right before the shake and throw some ice in to make it cold, but I'm totally an RTD girl now when I"m out!

Hi,

I work in an office environment and my days are FULL of meetings. Here's what I keep in my drawer and this has worked great for me.

1. Ready to Drink Shakes - Because they are prepared, I just stick the straw in it and drink. I love chocolate and these are like chocolate milk for me.

2. An assorted box of bars (remember one a day)

3. Both banana and chocolate pudding - very easy to make - just put 3-4 oz of cold water, stir and eat - I don't even chill them in the fridge first (don't have time before my next meeting).

4. Hot chocolate, chai, cappuchino - very easy to prepare in a mug and bring to a meeting. Everyone loves the smell of them.

5. Cream of broccoli or cream of tomato soup....... these cream soups are easy to make in a mug or the shaker jar.

6. Oatmeal - mmmmmmm I could eat those all day. Typically these don't last long in my desk.

I have absolutely NO problems at work with this program. It's actually very very easy and that's why I'm successful with it. Hope this helps.

Smarti

I would rather have a blender and flavorings for my shakes. I also would like to have my hearty soups prepared on the stove with all the fixins and spices so I save those for home.

Have you tried making the shakes with just water yet? When I started, I was blender-only, because I was a little afraid of the taste. I still prefer most of the shakes blended, but was pleasantly surprised by the chocolate. Everyone's tastes are different, of course, but you might find (if you haven't tried them yet) that the shakes taste just fine even without being blended.

Otherwise, maybe make soup ahead, take it in a small container and nuke it for lunch. Or make the oatmeal - if you're not one who needs to let it sit very long, it's a pretty easy at-work meal.

Happy shaking! (Or blending, as the case may be . . .)

I actually took my magic bullet to work and used on my second day. OH MY GOSH  It made so much noise. I'm on my fourth day so now I put my flavoring in the shaker cups, then add the water, ice and powder when I'm ready to drink them. I just have to deal with the texture until I can have one at home. But I do understand where you are coming from.

I do my shake mixing at home! I'm not a fan of the shakes unless I get to have crushed ice with them. I'm hooked on the RTDs and I take one to work and keep in the fridge for my 3pm meal: )

I keep crackers and some bars at work for those latenights when I may have to stay late to work on a computer or something...I don't want to be without! I keep Crystal Lite and extra money for water to....

The RTDs are the way to go though!!! Very creamy!

Too bad the ready to drink (yes it took me a while to figure out what the abrivation meant!), only come in chocolate and vanilla.

But I will order some next time, to take to work. I figure I will have one shake at home in the morning and one at night...and have my bar, oatmeal and soup at work (for now).
