oatmeal cookie baking suggestion from a newbie

Postby Joy » July 4th, 2007, 10:57 am

Hi,

I just baked the apple cinn oatmeal cookies according to the package. They were very good, however, if anyone wants the cookies to me more crisp, I found that making them flat to begin with worked best. Otherwise, if you spoon the mixture out and then just bake it will have a more moist/rubbery texture.

with respect,

And if you want them to bed more cookie-like, us 1/4 cup water instead of the 1/3. 8)

This is good to know, thanks. I was trying to think of what my next order will consist of and hot items aren't appealing for all meals so I may begin making the cookies for a change.

I never thought of flattening them out but that makes perfect sense. I have 3 packets left of Apple Cinnamon I've just been saving for cookies - when I get around to making them again I'll try this!
